We had a fabulous stay!! The owners were so wonderful and the place was just as described!! Everything was perfect! The place was perfect and we so enjoyed the courtyard. Definitely recommend and will be coming back and staying here!!
Property was very clean and comfortable. Location is walkable to everything in the historic part of town, so once I got there I didn’t use my car until I checked out. Courtyard is incredibly peaceful and pretty!
This property is exactly as advertised, has everything you could need, is super convenient to downtown shops, and we felt safe, secure, and comfortable. Would stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay at the property. It was in walking distance of some great shops. Communication with the property owner was easy and so was checking in. Mini toiletry items were furnished along with a bottle of wine in the fridge and bottled water. That was unexpected but appreciated.
Very nicely updated historical property. The courtyard in the back is a nice place to spend some quiet time. It is very private and picturesque. The location is within reasonable walking distance for most of the historic downtown. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend accommodation,
The close proximity to the antique shops was perfect. We were able to walk to local restaurants and just enjoy all that part of Natchez had to offer.
It was just the cutest property with plenty of room for the 3 of us.
Beautiful property. In downtown walking distance to so many restaurants and shops. Has all the amenities you will need and more, including snacks and wine. They were nice enough to allow us to check in early since we arrived before check in time. Great communication and tons of information about the surrounding area included. Will definitely book again if we return to Natchez.
Very happy we rented this downtown apartment for the weekend! It’s very clean with everything you could possibly need. The courtyard is very lovely and secured. We enjoyed our morning coffee and evening cocktails there.
The Gaol was everything we hoped for! Great way to spend our 32nd wedding anniversary. It was near everything we wanted to do. The owner's antique stop was next door. Will definitely be staying again.
Delightful! Richard was very accommodating and great to talk with. The Gaol is well appointed and very cute. We fully enjoyed our stay and plan on returning soon.
This is a great location that is within walking distance to downtown dining and shopping. The property was just like it was advertised and was super clean with all the supplies we needed. Richard was a great host and super accommodating. The courtyard area was a nice place to sit and visit and enjoy the evening with friends. We definitely recommend this location!
We enjoyed our stay so much at the Gaol. We loved the openness of the whole place. My adult sons loved the pinball machine! We were able to walk downtown to eat from this location and we were lucky enough to have nice weather. I can’t forget to say how nice the courtyard was. Beautiful!! If you stay you will have to check out the antiques next door. We will be back!
This property is located in the downtown area. We had three adults. The place is very unique inside with two beds in a large common room, kitchen living area and a loft above with bedroom. 1 1/2 bath. We loved it. Great for our group. The courtyard was so pretty and a great place for a glass of wine and coffee in the morning. The cat welcomed us in the courtyard the last morning.
I have stayed at the Gaol many times and it is always amazing! Richard is a fantastic host and you can't beat the location. Already have my next trip there booked!
From the time we checked in to the time we left it was an awesome stay. Mr. Richard was very friendly and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. We look forward to coming back again and staying.
We enjoyed everything The Gaol had to offer. The courtyard swing was one of our favorites. We walked everywhere and it is located in a great area. We will definitely be back!
Loved the ambiance, amenities, and location. Perfect downtown spot with easy access. Beautiful courtyard, spacious, accommodated social get-togethers with friends. Also fascinating history. Finally, and most important, excellent hosts! bless y’all.
The Natchez Gaol is in a perfect location. You can walk to everything downtown. We had a great time.

Why they chose this property
Owned the building since 1995 - was rented in the past to an Antique Store, then as a workshop for an Antique dealer, later as an Artist Studio, then as storage for my Antique store almost next door! We restored the building in 2019/2020 and finished it just in time for Corona virus to hit!
What makes this property unique
Beautiful large private space!
