About the host

Hi and welcome! We are originally from the Yukon, and in 2022 my husband and I made the move to beautiful Sooke to be closer to our kids and grandbabies. We’re both enjoying a more relaxed pace these days—I'm semi-retired and my husband is fully retired—which gives us time to appreciate everything this incredible area has to offer.

I’m a big curling enthusiast and had the amazing opportunity to compete at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in 2021, which was a real highlight for me!

We truly enjoy hosting and sharing our space with guests, and we hope you feel comfortable, relaxed, and right at home during your stay.

Why they chose this property

We chose to make our home in the Sunriver subdivision because it offers the perfect balance of peaceful, natural surroundings and convenient access to everything Sooke has to offer. We love being tucked into a quiet, scenic neighbourhood with beautiful walking trails, the nearby Sooke River, and plenty of green space—it really captures the West Coast lifestyle.

At the same time, we’re just a short drive to shops, restaurants, and the ocean, so it’s easy to explore the area. For us, Sunriver felt like the ideal place to slow down, enjoy nature, and still stay connected to the community—and we think guests really appreciate that same blend when they stay here.

What makes this property unique

What makes our property unique is the little bit of extra care we put into your stay. We like to think the extra “B” in BnB should still mean breakfast, so we include thoughtful breakfast items to help you start your day off right.

Our space is exceptionally quiet and relaxing—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. It’s also larger than most, offering an extra-spacious layout so you can truly settle in rather than just “stay over.” We’ve made sure it’s fully equipped with all the essentials (and a few extras), so you’ll feel comfortable, at home, and well taken care of throughout your visit.
