from the start we knew the property manager and staff were out to get us, they were extremely rude to our chef and butler. we had requested early check-in MULTIPLE times, and each time received a different answer. the home was not in use the night before, i could have rented it via VRBO, when we arrived we met at the beach club with carlos, he was nice, however, felt like there was always an ulterior motive. when we finally got in the house, we did a quick walk through - we were never told how to turn the firepit on, how to heat the pool etc., he left, but would randomly just show back up throughout the stay - which we felt was very weird.
truly, we did love the house, the location and the community. however, for how we were personally victimized after our departure (2 weeks later), i would NEVER suggest or recommend staying here. today, 2 weeks from the date of check-in i received a $2k bill for: sheets missing?? (because we wanted to pack up our sheets and take them back to the US with us?), 8 broken wine glasses, we used plastic cups 98% of the time as we spent most our time outside, the other 2% of the time we had a butler there to make us drinks, and can assure everyone that no one had to pull a broom out once to clean up broken glass? they are claiming damage to black tables that were outside, poolside tables - the photo i received were water rings, that very clearly had not been cleaned yet, which would negate this issue! they claimed we stained outdoor furniture (there were small dots in the photos they sent?), this could have been from anyone? do they not believe in normal wear and tear, the home is on rental sites?
overall, due to the false claims and the lies i do NOT recommend staying at this house until they can find a new property manager or stop profiling people!
