Best of all, Mermaid Shade is just a 0.5-mile, easy walk to the Duck Boardwalk, where you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Currituck Sound, browse unique local boutiques, and dine at some of Duck's favorite restaurants. The ground level also features a recreation room with a flat-screen TV, beverage fridge, queen sleeper sofa, and foosball table, providing even more space for indoor fun.

The middle level features four comfortable bedrooms: one king bedroom that shares a bathroom with a bedroom offering two twin beds, and one queen bedroom that shares a bathroom with a second queen bedroom and a bunk room. All four bedrooms provide direct access to the deck, where you'll find a relaxing hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach. A conveniently located laundry room with a washer, dryer, and utility sink adds extra convenience during your stay.

Upstairs, the fully equipped kitchen opens to a spacious great room with a flat-screen TV and wood-burning fireplace, creating the perfect gathering space for family and friends. The dining table seats ten, with additional seating for four at the breakfast bar. Just beyond, a bright sitting area leads to an expansive deck featuring a picnic table and lounge chairs, ideal for outdoor dining or relaxing in the coastal breeze.
