About the host

Host profile image
We’re Tom and Amanda, your hosts at Moorina Haven Retreat. We enjoy an active lifestyle, spending time outdoors and appreciating the peacefulness of country living. We created this retreat because we love giving people a welcoming space where they can slow down, unwind and reconnect. Life can feel incredibly busy, so it brings us genuine joy to offer a place where guests can pause, breathe and give their nervous systems a much-needed reset. We live 50-100m down the driveway on the property and are available if needed, while always respecting your privacy.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Moorina for its peaceful rural setting, rolling green hills and beautiful views towards the Glass House Mountains. Although it feels wonderfully secluded, restaurants, shops and local attractions are still only a short drive away. We especially love the native wildlife, spectacular sunsets and the simple pleasure of enjoying a morning coffee while listening to the birds and watching wallabies wander through the property. It offers the perfect balance of countryside tranquillity and everyday convenience.

What makes this property unique

Moorina Haven Retreat is a private, adults-only Queenslander set across 10 peaceful acres in the Moreton Bay countryside. Guests can soak in the outdoor spa, gather around their own fire pit, enjoy a barbecue beneath the open sky or simply relax while taking in the surrounding hills, native wildlife and Glass House Mountains views. Thoughtful touches throughout the home—including robes (these must remain on the property), complimentary slippers, games and couples’ connection cards—help create a warm and restorative stay. Whether visiting for a romantic escape, a girls’ getaway or quiet time away, it’s a place designed to help you slow down, reconnect and leave feeling refreshed.
