The name stands for resting and relaxation. The central location and proximity to beaches, cities and mountains makes the house an ideal base for discovering tours around the Algarve. The Casa Luar is picturesquely located on the idyllic hills of the Central Algarve, surrounded by nature and tranquility.
From the large living room windows you can enjoy the views of the Monchique mountains. In the morning, the sun shines in the bedroom and at night you can admire the clear starry sky. In the valley there are many different plants and animals species of the Mediterranean climate, including turtles and several species of herons.

Around the house ...
The house is situated in a quiet, sparsely populated valley. The little-used roads and paths in the area offering excellent hiking opportunities. There is a bakery in the 900m and 1800m distance in a typical café. Parking is available at the house. Around the house there is a large terrace and ramps provide continuous access to the raised seating area and into the house.

Perfect Algarve retreat

Casa Luar was a superb location for our family holiday away from it all. Nestled in the foothills of the Serra de Monchique, it is far away from the bustle of the Algarve seaside, yet close enough to get there for an afternoon's bathing. The property is light and spacious and very well equipped, with verandas and covered outdoor dining.

Quiet Private house in the hills near Silves

Super laid back vibe house close to the historic town of Silves. The house has everything needed for a relaxing time. Would definitely stay again.

Ideal location for a family get away

We liked the house and the location, although in the countryside it is quite central and all major Algarve sightseeing spots and beaches are easily accessible. A car is essential. You might need extra fans if the weather is too hot.

The ideal stay if you are looking for peace and quiet

In our search for a nice and comfortable place to stay in the Algarve, we found this gem. No Ikea furnishing, but a lived-in interior, equipped with everything you need during a holiday. The place itself is more or less remote, away from all the tourism, the real Portugal.... You need a car for shopping and excursions, you return to an oasis of peace and nature, exactly what we were looking for. Perfect retreat after a long beach day

We loved our stay in this classic villa, there is a lot of outside space which we used to the max. Really enjoyed the BBQ and the pool, perfect for our three year old. Of course the setting is quite remote, takes 20 minutes by car to get to the beach, but this did not bother us since the house was so nice and the view was breathtaking. Really nice owners too, we had good communication for example about the umbrellas that did not fit. Cassandra arranged a new umbrella for us within a day and drove by herself to bring it to us. Would definitely recommend!

Jolie maison propre, confortable et agréable dans un environnement calme et champêtre. Si quelques équipements sont vieillissants, nous n’avons manqué de rien. Beaucoup de choses à disposition. Sehr schönes Ferienhaus in sehr ruhiger Lage

Wir haben 3 wunderschöne Wochen in dem Ferienhaus verbracht. Das Haus ist bestens ausgestattet. Es fehlt an nichts. Die Außenterrasse mit Blick in die Berge ist traumhaft. Außer die Geräusche von Bienen am Morgen und Grillen am Abend, liegt das Ferienhaus abgelegen und ruhig. Wir haben uns super erholt und wohlgefühlt. Sehr empfehlenswert, wir kommen wieder.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus

Wir haben im Casa Luar 2 wunderschöne/ruhige Wochen verbracht. Das Haus liegt ländlich ruhig, aber doch zentral, die nächsten großen Städte erreicht man in 10-15 Minuten, die traumhaften Strände in 20-30 Minuten. Der Pool war für die Kinder perfekt. Sehr netter Kontakt zur Vermieterin.

großes Haus in wunderschöner und ruhiger Umgebung

Schönes Haus in ruhiger Umgebung

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub mit unseren drei Kindern (4, 6, 7 Jahre), der Pool war perfekt für die Kinder. Die Lage ist sehr gut um die Algarve zu erkunden.

Entre 2 colines

Nous avons séjourné une semaine sur la période du mois d'Août. La location corresponds aux photos de l'annonce, le descriptif est exact a ce que nous avons eu lors de notre séjour. La maison est placé en hauteur, calme et paysage sont au rendez-vous. Vous êtes tranquille. Les extérieur sont agréable, la piscine fait sont job surtout en cette période extrêmement chaude. L'intérieur de la maison est bien pensé pour passer dans l'ensemble un bon séjour et des petits détails fond plaisir surtout quand on a un bébé (lit de voyage, chaise haute, jeux de plage et parasol). Néanmoins pas mal de petite chose sont a revoir et surtout à savoir: - L'eau est NON potable dans TOUTE la maison de la douche à la cuisine. - Absence de rideaux ou de volet occultant réveil assuré à 6h30 du matin (nous avons scotché des sacs poubelle noir en guise d'occultation) - Pendant la forte chaleur qu'on a eu, 46°C extérieur, l'intérieur de la maison était très étouffante 30°C dans la chambre ( température relevé par le Baby-phone de notre enfant). - Certains appareil ménager sont à changer comme le lave-linge ( Essorage 1 fois sur 2), le Frigo ( obligé de le faire tourné à fond pour avoir les denrées alimentaire et boissons fraîche ), Le sèche cheveux ne tient pas (sèche cheveux pliant). - PAS de micro-onde, pour chauffé les petits pots merci la vieille méthode du bain marie mais faut pas être pressé ni avoir bébé qui cri famine. - PAS de machine à café qui de nos jours est comme même très appréciée après un repas. - le sol de la douche est EXTREMEMENT glissant, nous avons dû acheter un tapis de douche. Malgré ses points négatif et l'utilisation de système D nous avons dans l'ensemble passée une bonne semaine de vacance avec notre enfant.

Entschleunigung pur

Die Woche war sehr entspannend und wunderschön. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht. Vom Pool bis zur gut ausgestatteter Küche, reichlich Handtücher, vieler Sitzgelegenheiten, es ist alles da. Auch die Kommunikation lief sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Schönes Haus im Hinterland

Das Haus liegt ca. 15 Kilometer hinter der Küste ruhig gelegen in einer idyllischen Gegend. Wer - wie wir - nicht nur am Strand liegen, sondern wandern will, für den ist der Standort ideal. Nach Silves, wo man Restaurants und Einkaufsgelegenheiten findet, sind es knapp 10 Minuten mit dem Auto. Das Haus ist sauber und sehr gut mit allem ausgestattet, was man für den Urlaub braucht. Die Anreise ist völlig unproblematisch, da die Vermieterinnen eine ausgeszeichnete Anreiseskizze übermitteln. Wir können das Haus nur weiterempfehlen.

A casa era exatamente o que procurávamos! Zona tranquila, vista sobre o campo, piscina agradável, alpendre encantador, casa espaçosa e muito bem decorada. Cozinha bem equipada. Jogos disponíveis para toda a família. Proprietária e responsável pela piscina impecáveis! O único senão é a ausência de cortinados blackout - os madrugadores acordam ainda mais cedo e a casa aquece. De resto perfeito!

How did casa Luar start? In 2010 we 3 sisters bought the house where our family has lived in for a few years. As it is very spacious and on one level, we decided to prepare the house also for wheelchair users. This is how in Spring 2013 we started renting our Casa Luar, Moonshine house, and we hope to have created a place for everybody to relax and retreat from the crowded coast line. This is the perfekt location to spend your Summer holidays, or as a escape to the long cold northern winters.
