*Aspen Grove Cottage* (located in front of the Aspen Grove Bungalow) -Newly and thoughtfully renovated, furnished, and stocked, our luxury cottage sits on a working ranch with views of The Sangre de Cristo mountains that will not disappoint.

This is an open concept, two story cottage with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a large front porch complete with rocking chairs to soak in all those views. Open pastures roll up to the base of the Rockies just outside the front door, and true to its namesake, an aspen grove surrounds the north and west property lines. There is plenty of room for your family or group to relax, catch up, cook, and enjoy the solitude and adventure this special property offers.

Nestled in the heart of our four-generation family ranch, we are located in the southern range of the Rocky Mountains beloved by locals and travelers for its abundance of adventure, International Dark Sky, and purple mountain majesty.

We’ve taken care of all the details so you can cozy up, take in those mountain views, and discover everything the valley has to offer: Mountaineering, hiking, summiting a 14er, fishing, rafting, and hunting... to name a few...

Enjoy all the charm and heritage of the ranch from abundant wildlife to Spruce, Aspen, and Pondarosa pines to miles and miles of pastures rolling up to the base of the Sangres.

We’re near Westcliffe, the Rainbow Trail, and the Arkansas River with easy access to the Royal Gorge, Canon City, and Salida.

This quaint little cottage is exactly as it is listed! The cottage had everything that you would need. The beds were extremely comfortable. There.was plenty of space for all if us tomrelax in the living.The views were absolutely stunning.. all day and night! The wildlife views and sounds did not disappoint! The views of the stars were spectacluar! This was an absolute hidden gem! And only about 15 minutes into town, this was the perfect place.to stay!

We absolutely loved it here. The views are incredible and the house was very clean and cozy. Beds were very comfortable which is not always the case with rentals. 15 minute drive to Westcliffe and 40 minutes to Salida. We will be back for sure!

We loved the remote location, we loved the quiet and peaceful view off the front porch. We hiked just up the road to Balman Reservoir, kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Traveling with a 1 year old and we were all comfortable and loved this home!

Very nice place - quiet and secluded. Easy drive to Canon City and activities. Great walks in the morning with clear sky. Night sky is very dark with wide field of view - great stargazing! Ideal location to get away. All as expected from listing - but check first to see if you can access laundry if staying less than a week. We very much enjoyed the stay and definitely plan to return!

Beautiful ranch home

My husband, 2 kids and my parents and I stayed at Aspen cottage. It had everything we could have needed! The kitchen is well stocked, beds were soo comfortable, and the house was spotless. We loved sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch after our days of exploring. Mule deer and elk were right across the field. We could hear coyotes howling as it got dark. It was very peaceful and we loved that our kids had a yard and space to run and play. Jen the manager was so easy to communicate with, responded very promptly and made our visit great. We appreciated everything aspen cottage had to offer and would LOVE to come back and visit.

Great family stay in the mountains

This wonderful house on a ranch is remodeled with guests in mind. Every area is comfortable and homey. We appreciated that there were two bedrooms with twin beds and two bedrooms with queen beds. This suited our family of young adults well. The kitchen is spacious and open to the living room. It is well equipped for preparing meals. The bathrooms were fresh and clean. The house has charm and the views are spectacular! The view from the front porch of snow capped peaks made us feel like we were staying in a screen saver. We saw elk right across the road. I appreciated enough towels, toilet paper, and supplies for a week. My family highly recommends staying at this house on a ranch.

Beautiful surprise

The photos on the listing don't do this cottage justice. The outside is plain for sure, and sits on a dirt road. Didn't expect the dirt road being from the Cincinnati OH area. But, the house was wonderful. The inside is nicely done with an open first floor plan and the accomodations were comfortable. We were there for a wedding at Hillside, about a mile away. Perfect spot. We were about 15 miles out from downtown Westcliffe, where we did our grocery shopping and dining. No 5 star ding spots, but some pretty good ones. I would definitely rent this place again!

Quiet seclusion

This place was just what the kids and I needed. Plenty of space for us to settle in. Kitchen was furnished well and allowed plenty of meal prep and cooking. Quick access to the Sangre de Cristo mountain range and San Isabel National Forest. Night skies there are unparalleled.

Clean and beautiful remodeled farm house.

We had a lovely stay in this clean and beautiful home. The kitchen was especially nice with a nice big island. The views are spectacular. Be aware there are no blow dryers in the bathrooms and there is not an iron or ironing board available.
