The loft was gorgeous and pristine - looks exactly like the pictures. I didn’t experience any substantial street noise during my stay, and slept like a baby. Loved the design and felt completely at home!
The modern design aesthetic of The George Loft in North Park is beautiful! It's easy to see, Jenna and Danny have put their hearts into the design and décor of the home.
Be aware there are a lot of stairs. The stairs were not a problem for my niece or myself mostly, but they were a challenge for my 70 year old mother at night, so she opted to sleep downstairs for safety. The steps were a bit scary at night if one needed something from the kitchen or restroom downstairs. A suggestion, for safety- LED light strips on a dimmer built into the stair tread would be helpful at night. Or a night light plugged into an outlet in the stairwell would work too.
The property was well stocked with all the needed kitchen and bath amenities and supplies. We cooked breakfast and dinner both nights in the well-appointed kitchen easily. Bed, pillows, and linens were yummy to slip into after a day at the beach, and a few margaritas in Old Town. The house is in a walkable neighborhood. We felt safe walking during the day to the 7-11 across the street and over to An's dry cleaning (an ice-cream shop) which is a 10-15 minute leisurely stroll away from the house. Parking is tedious! I'm sure for locals this is the norm and it's something they're used to navigating, but for out-of-towners like us it was a challenge. We ended up finding a spot close to the house and kept the car parked there, then Uber'd everywhere we wanted to go. As Jenna has warned: be aware of the days the city sweeps the streets. You WILL get a ticket. Don't ask how I know this ;)...
I had to contact Jenna when we first arrived, as the door code given was not working. She answered the call right away and happily worked with us over the phone and gave us a new code to get into the house. I texted Jenna to let her know the AC was making a funny noise. She responded immediately with a solution that took our needs into consideration.
If you were to ask me, this property is priced at a reasonable rate for what you get. I do feel it is best suited for two people rather than the 3-4 it is advertised as though. I say this, since there is one Queen sized bed and an air mattress. To be fair, Jenna did ask before we booked our stay if the air mattress would be okay, as they didn't have the sleeper sofa mentioned in the description anymore. I agreed to the air mattress. I should've known better. Anyone who has slept on an air mattress knows where I'm going with this...
All in all it was a great stay!
