While we were not there to enjoy the lake, this home was a clean and comfortable place to sleep and the view through the large windows was beautiful. The listing is very accurate and honest about the home and location, so there were really no surprises which was appreciated!

We were in town for the last man standing ultramarathon at pineland Farms. The house on the lake was amazing.

Wonderful Waterfront Cottage

We had a great stay on Tripp Lake. House was clean and well cared for and we were surprised and pleased there was AC in the main bedroom. The location was unbeatable — back door was literally steps from the lake and the lake was the star of the trip. We spent the day on the deck, on the dock, or in the water. Host was available and helpful. Would come again!

We stayed for a month at this lakeside cottage and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The standout feature is its excellent lakefront location, just steps from the water, offering beautiful views and stunning sunsets, along with a well-maintained dock. Inside, the cottage is clean, offers comfortable sofas and beds. A big screen supported with Wi‑Fi, provides very good internet and cell phone service. The well equipped kitchen and convenient, new washer and dryer facilitated our longer stay. The location is also very practical, with nearby grocery store, restaurants, golf courses, and casino. There is easy access to the wider lakes region, as well as Brunswick, Freeport and Portland. The owner proved to be very responsive to attending to some minor repair issues. Finally, although quite close to neighbouring cottages, no noise issues at all. Downsides include difficult lake access for swimming and some noticeable road noise from Route 11. The sleeping setup may also be challenging, with a narrow spiral staircase to the lower second bedroom and a bunkhouse without a bathroom.Despite these drawbacks, we found the positives outweighed the negatives. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-equipped lakefront cottage with exceptional views, beautiful sunsets, and a convenient location, this property is an excellent choice—provided you’re comfortable with the lake access and the unique bedroom layout.

4th of July Vacation

You don’t always get what you see. This cottage was extremely musty and moldy. We got physically sick, coughing, sneezing, etc. The gas grill was unusable, rusty, so dirty, I would never put a hamburger on it. The host was easy to contact at first, but as our vacation went on, he never replied. We left 2 days early , We have used VRBO many times, this one is at the bottom of the list.

Great spot, if you have a boat

The Good Nice accommodations, accurate to pictures on listing. Beautiful views out of the living room, especially sunset. Canoe available as well. Host was responsive when issues came up. The Not so good Nobody swam for the whole week. The water is only a foot or two deep for many yards. I wish there was more info about that. I know this body lf water has some level challenges, but we were bummed swimming wasn't really an option from the House. There is a beach down the road. The other disappointment was the proximity to the road, as the speed limit is 40-50 mph, and we could consistently hear road noise. If you have your own boat, this is a great spot for the week.

What a great stay!

Thank you so much for an amazing time. The house was perfect for our family. The little fenced in front yard was very convenient, I wasn’t sure if the bunkhouse had AC. It did. But we didn’t need it, we brought our kayaks and used the canoe that was there. The pond is beautiful and very shallow. It was perfect for fishing. We all caught bass from the dock and the kayaks. The kids were given permission from other houses on the pond to swim off there floating docks. The people who we met on the pond were so nice. The primary bedroom is on the first floor and the spiral staircase goes into the basement with the sliders to the outside. Although there was not AC in the basement, the fans and it being in a basement kept it very cool. I thought the staircase went upstairs to the primary not downstairs so I’m adding that. The place was very clean and cozy. It had everything we needed. The fire pit was great. The grocery store was only 3 minutes away. The views of the sunset were some of the best I’ve ever seen. We really enjoyed our time. Thank you so much!

Let down

We liked the layout of the property. The couches were comfortable. We enjoyed the firepit. The carpet was disgusting. Kitchen was small. The bed in the guest house is in pretty rough shape.

Comfortable cabin on the water

The property is a quintessential Maine camp on the lake. Beautiful views of the water and cozy inside with an easy to use gas fireplace. Owners provide all the things you need for an easy stay away from home. The location is also very convenient to various areas in Southern Maine. I would highly recommend!

Wonderful view!

We all loved our stay at the cabin! The view out the back was beautiful! The owner was easy to reach and was willing to work with our schedule. We would definitely rent here again if we are ever back in the area.

5 Star Place/3 Star Experience

This place is great. 5 stars all around. Giving it 4 stars because the house next door had some kind of fire/low battery alarm going off all 3 days we were there. It was loud and unpleasant enough that two members of our party who were staying in the bunkhouse could not sleep and left early. Our host contacted the property owner but they lived 3 hours away and did not come up to turn the alarm off. When you expect (and would normally get) a nice tranquil spot, this ruins the whole experience. Would I rent from this place again? For sure, but this trip was really a downer due to the CONSTANT alarm.
