Country retreat
We enjoyed our 5 day stay in this rural hideaway. Owner was very easy and delightful to work with. Enjoyed long walks in the woods and along the backyard stream. Plenty of space for 4 adults. No cell service, but robust WIFI and enjoyed quiet respite from electronics. Recommend the Oakhurst Diner, Four Brothers Pizza and Irving Coffee in Millerton.

Relaxing, Beautiful, Comfortable, Ann - Great VRBO Owner
We plan to go back! Ann, the owner/host, was so helpful and offered the best advice of where to have great dinners, lunches and breakfast and the best coffee. This wonderful home in Pine Plains, New York met all of our expectations - peaceful, quiet, restful, pastoral. We treasured sitting in the back and enjoying our morning coffee to the sounds of birds in the beautiful canopy of majestic trees. We saw deer at dusk in a field in the back, turkeys on morning. The modern kitchen in the back has all one needs to prepare meals but we chose to dine out in nearby Millerton, Pine Plains, Hillsdale or Lakeville, CT. We loved exploring Dutchess County and devoted a day to visiting the homes and art of Hudson River School painters Frederic Church and Thomas Cole. Suffice it to say, we hated to leave and plan a longer stay next time.

Beautiful place in the country
We had a lovely weekend in the country, next to a burbling, babbling stream. The kitchen is bright and provides a nice view of the old orchard on the property, and the living room has an excellent fireplace for cozy evenings. I hope we can return soon!
