Come Experience “Island Time” with Us

The property is set up like a duplex. There are two units on the main floor. My husband and I live on side “A”, and we rent side “B” to our guests. Both sides are separate, fully functional living spaces that only share one wall. The rental is listed as a 2 bedroom 1 bath condo. The ground floor of the property is common space where you can enjoy the island breeze, relax and listen to music, lounge on swings, sit around a table with family or friends, grill lunch or dinner, or boil fresh seafood. A short walk away from the warm gulf waters. Public access to the beach is 200 yards away from the property, directly across the street. The bay is 100 yards in the other direction and has some of the most beautiful sunsets you will ever experience.

Our hosts couldn't have been more gracious. They offered us use of nets, traps, pots- everything we could need during our stay in Grand Isle. The camp is on the bay side but only a block walk to the beach.

Wonderful Weekend Gettaway

My family and I booked Tonia’s place for 4 days and had a lovely time. She made sure we were more than comfortable our entire stay and even gave us fresh fruit and bread on our doorstep after she made her own grocery run! We will be coming back to stay again.

Fishing at Grand Isle

Great place for a fish camp. Clean, convenient and friendly , helpful hosts. Walk across the road to a wonderful beach. Recommend and would stay again.

Though the fishing wasn't great this trip, our stay here at the Dragon's Lair was wonderful. The owners were very nice and inviting and the home was lovely. Being pet friendly was a huge plus as well.

We arrived, easy check in and walk in to a VERY VERY clean place. The entire place is fully stocked with almost anything you need and made packing stress free. We loved being able to have our dogs to stay with us as we were searching for pet friendly places. The owners are unbelievably amazing and are so kind and go above for you to have a great experience at their place. We had the best time and can’t wait to book again next year!!

Our best stay in Grand Isle!

My husband, myself, sister and brother in law stayed here and had an absolutely wonderful time! Check in/out as well as communication with the host was made very simple. Any questions/requests we had were responded to promptly. The rooms were clean and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were very knowledgeable about the area! We definitely recommend this place for your stay to GI. Whether alone or with kids, you are sure to have a good time, even if you just stay on the property. Tonia and Benny were the most gracious hosts. We invited them to hang out with us, and they fit in like we had known them all our lives. We had a wonderful time and have already booked another stay.

We left a day early because we didn't like it. It was not in the greatest condition. Old and outdated. Shower smelled like mildew. Lot of the stuff on the inside was rusty including appliances and furniture. Floor tiles were coming up so nailed back on. Smelled closed up so we left with sinus congestion. Owner was great when asked for money back though. Owner was also very easy to contact and help with anything needed.

Birding Trip Accomodations

The rental is for one section of a trailer -called a suite, with the owners living on the other side. This was explained at the very end of the property description. The owners had dogs that barked a lot when they were not home and they were gone most of the time. The owners were friendly and were told about the dogs barking but there was nothing they could do when they were gone. The suite was smaller than expected. Beds were comfortable.

Island Time with Us

The host and her husband was very accommodating and timely responded to all inquiries. The unit was very clean and was supplied with the basic necessities. The kitchen/living area was a little compact. We didn't realize that the house is split into two units. The owners live on one side. They were very respectful of our space and privacy. Our only disappointment was downstairs under the house. It felt a bit cluttered and unsafe for a 2 year old to wander around.

Great weekend rental

We had a great stay here. Owners of the property were the friendliest people. The “camp” was clean and very nice. This is a duplex so owners do live on site (I didn’t realize this prior to renting), but they’re great, friendly people. I’d definitely recommend.
