The Highlander Lodge exceeded our expectations! Our group of 25 included 1 set of grandparents, and four families with a total of 15 grandkids from age 5-15. The game rooms and sports court gave the kiddos plenty to do, and the adults could find plenty of spaces to quietly relax. We had beautiful weather the last week in July, but even if it had been a rainy week, the family would have had a great experience due to the huge indoor space! Most of the rooms had individually controlled quiet A/C which meant we did not need to open windows. Very comfortable! When outside you can hear the distant sound of the highway, but that was not a problem for us at all. Wonderful to have hosts willing to rent to large family groups with kids! We took good care of the property and hope the owners continue to make it available to families like ours!

Great place for a large extended family

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved it. We would definitely recommend to large groups. However, we were confused about the "correct" wash cloths to use for cleaning (the kitchen, tables, etc.) There were no washrags in the kitchen at all, just one sponge - which doesn't work great on all surfaces and is pretty gross after a few days - maybe get some kitchen wash cloths.

Hi Deborah, Thanks for the review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at Highlander Lodge. This is a beautiful, spacious home with several fun amenities for all ages to enjoy. We appreciate your note regarding kitchen washrags. There should be both kitchen towels and paper towels for you to use but we will be sure to check the inventory. Thanks for staying with us. Came across this property, which perfectly matched our requirements. This is an amazing property, has all the amenities that one would expect, the game room is awesome. We really enjoyed the well stocked kitchen! We had a couple of issues with the electrical breakers, but the host was very responsive and we got things turned back on. The basketball court and game room were a huge hit and the Christmas tree was lovely. I would say the curved stairs might be challenging for elderly but there is a nice bathroom and two bedrooms on the first floor. We had 13 adults and teens and 3 kids and had beds left over. I would highly recommend this for a family gathering!
