This place is GREAT! Kitchen had all tools needed for cooking, location was awesome. We will definitely stay here again! We do recommend ear plugs. The street noise overnight can be annoying.

Excellent Stay

This was the fourth time we have rented the Sunshine on the Sheepscot apartment and it was delightful as usual. The apartment has a charming, historic feel but still has most of the modern amenities. Be aware that there is a fairly steep staircase to get to the apartment so it maybe won’t be the best choice for people with mobility issues but it is highly recommended for a great stay in Wiscasset!

Cozy Historic Apartment

This was a lovely historic spot near lots of fun things to do in Maine! The bed was comfy, and the kitchen had everything I needed. The decor was thoughtful. Walking distance to a cafe for coffee, and you can sit on the deck and wait for the line to shorten at Reds Eats. The deck was a great spot to sit and read, and I know the area so I wasn’t surprised by the road noise on rt 1. The only opportunity for improvement would be that there are two doors leading to the apartment, and neither of them have a dead bolt lock. As a woman traveling alone, I would have really appreciated a dead bolt on the doors, and would definitely stay again if they were provided.

Wiscasset Beauty

We have traveled Midcoast Maine since childhood and have always admired this historic riverfront Wiscasset building. We were so happy for the opportunity to stay here! The space is thoughtfully arranged as both an homage to its history and a cozy living space with gorgeous Sheepscot views. Perfect landing spot for Wiscasset's beautiful walking tour, eateries and shops. We loved every minute. Thank you!

Lovely location, excellent view

Beautiful little apartment, the view from the balcony was excellent, and there's a delightful little coffee/ice cream shop practically underneath it, in the little nook between the building and Red's. A lovely relaxing stay 🙂

Two night solo trip

This is a real home, actually an apartment. It is decorated with care and thought for the visitor. This is the reason you pick a private rental over a hotel. The hosts obviously care about their guests. Wiscasset is a lovely historic town and near local destinations.

What a gem!

No need to look any further. This place has everything you need for a short or longer stay. The views, the layout, and amenities were spot on. Looking over the river while having coffee was my highlight. I highly recommended this place and will definitely book again! 5 stars!

Location was great, and views of the water from the back deck were fantastic. Yes the traffic noise is definitely noticeable, but outside of "rush hour" i didn't mind it much and certainly didn't hear it in the bedroom, but i'm from NYC. That said, it felt very much like a short term rental managed by a big company. There were 2 mugs, 2 glasses, and 2 big dishes, and limited pots & pans. For example there was a huge lobster pot and then a small pot and that was about it. Meanwhile, a lobster pot, but no crackers to actually eat a lobster with... that kind of thing. Forget it if you needed a big bowl to serve pasta... there was a copper mixing bowl that didn't have a flat bottom and just spun around the countertop, or a heavy ceramic bowl, which isn't something i wanted to carry around or outside on the deck where it could break. Internet was down when we arrived, and though communication with the big company property manager was responsive, it felt like we were communicating with an offshore virtual assistant. The router just needed to be reset so we could get internet, but we couldn't locate it. When we explained this, the property managers suggested "restarting the router" as if they had just googled what to do, even after we started the conversation with "we need to restart the router but can't find it. Where is the router located?". What should have been a simple interaction turned into a fiasco of scheduling ppl to come to the property.

A perfect water view apartment in beautiful Wiscasset.

This is our third time staying here. We came hear from California to visit family. The location is perfect; the apartment is quirky in a good way. The apartment was spotless and well equipped. If stairs are an issue this rental might not be good as there are about 18 steps to the unit. We watched the 4th of July fireworks from the deck. The best place in town for viewing fireworks.

Eclectic and funky but fun.

Great location, wonderful deck for wine and lobster right next door. Warning if you don’t do steps. It’s on the second floor. Workable kitchen and very roomy.
