Trains are a factor of life in all Canadian mountain towns. From the very beginning Canmore was built around the train line, including 90% of the local hotels and condos in town, which means that this property is along a train line, however, it is very well insulated against sound. Bedrooms are on the opposite side of the condo from the train line and the train should not disturb even the lightest of sleepers. Watching the trains go past is actually quite fascinating and not just for the train buffs! Please read our guest reviews for previous insight.

We absolutely loved our stay here!! We have a 4year old and 2year old and this space was perfect for them. You can not hear the train at all from the bedrooms and honestly it added a great deal to our stay. Our children absolutely LOVED seeing the train go by each day. At one point the AC was not working properly and we were out in the mountains and they did try to notify us but we didnt have service they literally took care of everything. We came back and they had fans everywhere going and that night we just slept with the windows open and the temp was perfect. They were so helpful and quick to get it fixed. We loved this space and they had everything we needed! We would absolutely book this space again for our next visit!

We enjoyed our stay at Charla's very much. The living area has incredible view and great balcony with a bbq. Excellent location right behind a Save on Food and Safeway, lots of restaurants and an Asian convenient store right downstair. Would stay here again next time we travel to Banff.

Good location. Canmore is a good starting location to access all the National Parks in the area and you can get there quickly from Calgary. The apartment was within easy walking distance of downtown as well. The apartment amenities worked great for us and it was an amazing view of the mountains outside the windows. We enjoyed our stay in Canmore.

My husband and I stayed eight nights while visiting Canmore, Banff, and all the national parks up to Jasper. This upstairs apartment was very clean and roomy. It has a nice big kitchen with all the necessary accessories. We ate in many nights, enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning and packed lunches for the day. The two grocery stores and health food store are directly behind this apartment. It was also advantageous to be able to pull our car right up to the door. The host company was nice enough to let us in early and showed us how to use the lockbox on the door. It's in a great location, with a pedestrian path that takes you across the train tracks and into town. I was surprised how much I enjoyed watching the trains pass by, as the tracks are directly behind the unit. After a while, we didn't even notice them. Also, the main bedroom is up front so they never kept us awake, it's very quiet at night. I enjoyed the deep bathtub and my husband was happy we had a TV in the bedroom. My husband's biggest complaint was with the TV channel choices and mine would be no sun umbrella on the deck to give some shade. The unit is a little dated, but because it's clean, fresh, uncluttered and roomy, I would highly recommend it. We've traveled the world on various budgets and this is worth it.
