The house was great, well equipped and so near the old part of Sarlat. Our visit coincided with the Wednesday market which was excellent but apparently the Saturday market is much bigger. Sandrine mentions parking briefly in front of the hotel to offload your luggage but you can park in any of the 'payant' places in the area free for an hour, which is rather more relaxing (but you must take a parking ticket from the machine). To find the free parking enter 'Impasse Marie Curie' into your sat nav and then drive to the very top, before walking down to the house (signed 'Centre Ville). Plenty of restaurants to choose from but the one we enjoyed most was Le Mirandol.

Fabulous location in very easy walking distance to the centre of Sarlat. Whilst the property has no onsite parking, there is plenty of free parking just a couple of minutes walk away but there is also a much closer space to load and unload your vehicle on your arrival and departure which is very useful. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed. The house really is charming and unique. There is a lovely little outside area next to the third bedroom (which is an annexe accessible from the main house by a little door and had its own bathroom).Communications right from my initial enquiry with the host, Sandrine were great. Responses and additional information that we requested was sent very quickly and lots of additional useful and detailed information was shared in the final days before we arrived. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Greeted by mosquitoes !

Mosquitoes were waiting for us when we opened the door, we were all bitten ! When inquired, owner told us mosquitoes are rare in Sarlat, guess we were very unlucky. But that really spoiled our stay since we lit mosquito coils & sprayed repellent whenever we're in the house, almost fumigated ourselves. Listing should indicate the 2nd bathroom & third bedroom are in an annex, one has to duck head & leave the main house to get there. We understand we had to bring personal supplies but this is the 1st bnb that we stayed in without dish washing & laundry detergent & garbage bags. Location is good though.

Bonjour maisie, Concernant les moustiques et bien vous êtes bien la première personne à me le signaler. Concernant les fournitures chaque vacancier doit laisser le minimum pour le suivant…. Concernant la troisième chambre et la salle de douche dans l’annexe, cela est bien précisé dans l’annonce. Je viens de vérifier… mon annonce est 100% transparente. La femme de ménage m’a précisé qu’il manquait deux bols colorés…. Sont ils parti dans vos bagages????

Nice house - grumpy owner

The house is very nice; however, it would not be suitable for someone with mobility issues due to the steps and stairs inside the house as well as a narrow staircase. The location is excellent; it is a few minutes walk from the medieval city centre. On the departure day, we met 3 women who asked us for help looking for the house at number 15, and after a while, we realised they were coming to clean the house we were living (number 7). They had the wrong house number. We showed them the property, where the external key box and the internal key box were as well as the cleaning products; they had no idea were things were. Consequently, we left 20 minutes late and I received a quite unpleasant email from the owner due to this slight delay. This was the only downside of the stay. The plus side was the lovely cat who visited every day.

Madame vous avez reçu un mail lors de votre arrivée vous expliquant les règles de départ. Il était notifié 10h et non 11h. De plus vous avez dit à mon équipe de ménage que je vous avais autorisé 11h…. 1er mensonge madame! Votre 2nd mensonge s’agit de mon équipe de ménage qui ne connaissait pas la maison ni les produits 😂😂😂😂…. Dans cette équipe il y avait une bonne amie à moi qui connaît très bien la maison. La mauvaise foi! Hormis cette mésaventure la maison a été rendu nickel. Si je devais noter ce voyageur sur 5 étoiles je mettrai 3.

Logement très très bien placé à quelques pas du centre historique de Sarlat. Maison très fraiche en cette période de canicule grâce à son emplacement légèrement encastré dans la roche d'une falaise. Par contre, comme signalé, la porte d'entrée coince au sol et ne laisse qu'un passage insuffisant ou bien il faut forcer pour ouvrir plus grand. Des étagères de douche pour le bâtiment principal seraient vraiment bienvenues car poser son savon, gant et autre produit par terre n'est pas pratique du tout. Une petite déception pour le grille pain qui ne fonctionne pas, dommage... quelques ampoules à changer, la porte du vaisselier dans l'entrée qu'il ne faut pas fermer au risque de ne plus l'ouvrir (un p'tit coup de rabot). Malgré ces quelques détails, cette une location vraiment très agréable à mon avis. Merci.

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans cette maison pleine de charme où il ne manque rien. Elle a plein de petits recoins sympathiques et se trouve dans un quartier très calme, très bien située à trois minutes à pied du centre et d’un parking gratuit. De plus, la propriétaire est très sympathique. Nous y retournerons très volontiers.

Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans un hébergement atypique et for bien situé pour profiter de Sarlat sans voiture. L'appartement comportait tous les équipements indiqués et les produits nécessaires. Deux points à traiter: - la porte d'entrée difficile à ouvrir (elle frotte au sol) - Radiateur de la chambre extérieure à refixer

Tres bon sejour dans la maison des roches

Nous avons passé 4 jours avec 3 mamans et 3 ados dans la maison des roches de Sarlat. On se sent très rapidement à l'aise et chez soi dans cette maison typique creusée dans la roche. L'hôte nous a laissé tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Idéalement située, on visite Sarlat sans prendre la voiture !

Super séjour

Nous avons séjourné en famille dans la charmante maison de Sandrine. Elle a été pleine d'attention, lit bébé, ré-hausseur, pot et baignoire pour le petit de 20 mois. A la fois proche du centre ville historique et au calme dans cette petite rue. Séjour magnifique.

A RECOMMANDER SANS HESITATIONS

Avec des amis, nous avons loué cette maison, et nous avons été très satisfait de l'ensemble. La localisation est parfaite, 5 minutes à pied de l'hyper centre, extraordinaire marché du samedi, restaurants, boutiques, etc..tout est à proximité. Le logement est super, bien équipé, propre, les chambres sont bien et le fait d'avoir une suite parentale, ou autre séparée est idéal. De plus les modalités avant l'arrivée, le guidage, l'accueil etc...est super. Le suivi fait par la propriétaire est vraiment appréciable. Je recommande et nous y retournerons en famille. Merci Sandrine.
