I stayed at this STUNNING property over the Thanksgiving weekend a couple weeks ago with someone I’m dating, and we are still basking in the glow of the amazing experience. First, this guest house is large and gorgeous. It's built over the owners’ garage and has magnificently high ceilings, professionally décor, luxurious bedding and thoughtful details provided to make you feel at home, from the robe and slippers to the coffee and toiletries. The furniture was designed to serve as room dividers, and I’d often read or relax in the morning in the sitting area while my companion slept in longer in the next space. There's a minifridge and a washer/dryer in the walk-in closet and a shower that's large enough to throw a dance party in, not that I would recommend that. The views are incredible - rolling hills of wine country from the bed, their lovely landscaped pool area from the dining table. Every morning we'd have an espresso from their machine and then coffee from their French press, in the HOT TUB. The pool is amazing, but too cold when we were there. We’d love to be back in the summer when we could enjoy that as well. But they had the hot tub running each morning for us. Which brings us to the second point, you cannot ask for more accommodating hosts than Christopher and Arne. They are just a few steps away, but were obviously very conscious about giving us privacy while being readily available for any of our needs, including recommendations of places to eat, wineries, etc. Finally, it’s a fantastic location, about 15 minutes from downtown Healdsburg and a short drive to many gorgeous wineries. You can even walk to Martin Ray, which I highly recommend. Don't hesitate booking if you are lucky enough to have access to this special oasis!
