This is a breathtaking property. I’m not a morning person and I watched EVERY Sunrise 🌅 Even on a Foggy morning, it didn’t disappoint. You get exactly what you see in the listing. Jason was wonderful to work with. We would stay here again.

Relax… with a Million Dollar View!

I decided to stay in the mountains after a work trip in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. I thought… I would love to find a place with “a view” and invite my husband for an unexpected early 26th anniversary weekend get away! With a quick google search I found this absolutely amazing condo in BRMC! I had never even heard of the Blue Ridge Mountain Club! Jason had the most beautiful condo listed and to my suprise it was available! My boss and I decided to drop off my luggage and the head to our final meeting on Friday. When we walked in the condo it was decorated for Christmas in the most elegant way! We LOVED it! The beds are extremely comfortable, and all of the appliances and brand new amenities make this a luxurious mountain getaway! My husband and I basically stayed at the condo the entire time and relaxed on the swing. We took naps, listened to the breeze blow through the trees and the chirping of the mountain birds. It rained Sunday as we were packing up and we were so sad to say goodbye. We could have listened to the rain from the back porch all afternoon. We made reservations at the Lookout Grill and enjoyed the food immensely! We will definitely be back and would love to bring our parents, daughter and son-in-law over the holidays. Jason was quick to respond and so delightful in his communication. What an amazing last-minute getaway I cannot say it enough… it’s just what we needed! Until next time … :)

Did not enjoy our stay

Pros: 1) the master bed was comfy. 2) There was plenty of space to move around and the bathroom was nice. Cons: 1) We lost all cellular signal once we left the guard tower. You go into a giant void for about 3.5 miles, and when you have never been there before, you feel completely lost. We had no idea where to go. 2) I did not like the owner's tone in the info sent to us after we booked the property for the weekend. He prints in bold letters the following: "Do not bring pets inside at anytime and do not smoke. I am asthmatic and it will send me to the hospital. You will pay for damages and medical bills if there is evidence of Pets inside.This is my second home. Please take care of it.Do not move furniture around or leave it in a mess.You will receive additional cleaning charge...if you do not take care of it." We have stayed in many places and have never encountered a tone like that, so I became very worried he might accuse us of making a mistake because of his tone, so it was impossible to relax. It also says:"Please walk & tread lightly during your stay and please no jumping or dancing (save that for the outdoor fire gardens ;)" Children are not allowed on the property, so this added to the uncomfortable feeling overall. 3) It was strange to us to show up to a LIT candle when we ARRIVED. I happened to notice it was actually lit in the kitchen right before we were leaving. Because of his tone when we booked, I was very alarmed that he may claim we left it burning, so I emailed him, and he simply said, "I lit the candle. I live here...." It was not a welcome gesture to me considering I did not know about it ahead of time. 4) The roads leading from the guard tower to the property are 25 mph for a reason the entire way: They are extremely twisty and have several very sharp turns. In winter, if there were the slightest bit of ice or snow, in my opinion, it could be extremely dangerous. I suggest you Google Earth these roads to see what I mean. Personally, this is too much of a chance in winter because, in my opinion, the slightest storm could be very problematic. He said they do a good job of clearing the roads, but I would always call ahead and ask the guard tower during winter. 5) We found out (walked over there) when we arrived that all restaurants on the property are closed through Feb 7 even though they don't say that online. Don't plan to eat there if you come before then. Plan to drive those roads every time you want to get food.

It was a very comfortable place to stay & the views were wonderful. When we booked on VRBO, we were led to believe checkout was at 11am. This changed to 10am when we arrived. This was inconvenient and we think 10am is a too early checkout.

What a wonderful escape for us! Yule Lodge is perfect-beautifully decorated, comfortable and impeccably cared for. The views from the balcony are breathtaking. You can see for miles!!! You can literally walk right to The Lookout Grille for an amazing dinner, and the fitness center and fire pit area is also right next door. Blue Ridge Mountain Club is awesome-the Watson Gap Park area with basketball courts, horseshoes, bocci ball and more is also a short walk from the condo. Beautiful (and challenging) trail to Blue Hole is literally steps away. Ultra convenient location between Blowing Rock and Boone-we visited both towns as well as Grandfather Mountain. Jason is an amazing host! Top notch! Check in was seamless and we were surprised with treats over the few days that we were there. 5 stars just isn’t enough! We are ready to go back! Thank you Jason for a wonderful getaway!

From the moment we opened the door, we entered a magical mountain wonderland!! We felt like kids on Christmas morning!! Every turn surprised us with more magic!! It was like being in a snow globe!!! From the inviting peppermint scent to the subtle Christmas music to the brilliance of all the lights, the coffee bar with luscious goodies, the stocking filled with chocolates…a simply sensational stay! Great condo in the mountains

Beautiful community off the BRP with views, trails, and everything you want for a weekend getaway (wish we could stay longer). The condo was well furnished with everything you would need and true to it's Christmas theme. We enjoyed the fireplace, balcony with a view, and restaurant/bar across the parking lot the most.

Holiday Spirit Going Strong!

Lovely condo in a beautiful location and the holiday decor is charming. The view is amazing and We also had a lovely dinner right next door at the Club. It’s a little out of the way, but we brought groceries with us and didn’t need to travel too much.

Great family-friendly weekend getaway!

My husband and I wanted to find a safe getaway for our two girls over NYE and we are so glad we found this condo! Our girls thought Santa came again delivering candy in the stockings. The decorations were cute and appreciated coming off of the Xmas high. The best part was the development - WOW! The common area with fire pits and breathtaking views … the yummy and insanely convenient restaurant … the great hiking trails and workout facility. We loved it all! Highly recommend for a family getaway!
