Welcome to Wollongong, our Potomac Oasis!

We are a NEWLY RENOVATED fishing retreat directly on the shores of Historic St. Georgeโ€™s Island, MD, on the Lower Potomac. Catch absolutely brilliant 180ยบ sunsets from our patio or private dock, and cozy up by our firepit!

Though our cottage is small, it sure is cozy and totally functional for short or long-term rentals. We have a full kitchen, washer/dryer, 2 bedrooms, linens + towels, cooking essentials (salt & pep, oil, pots/pans, coffee, spices), crab pots, A/C to accommodate a quaint and peaceful getaway. Large dock to fish for Rockfish & crabbing. Half mile to boat ramp access to St Marys & Potomac Rivers, with the Chesapeake & Pt Lookout 8-10 miles south.

great location - wonderful walks to St George island and nearby restaurant. It would have been so awesome if there were two kayaks available! It is a perfect spot to be alone and observe nature. Grateful for great hospitality.

Amazing place to stay!!!

Extremely clean cottage right on the water with absolutely breathtaking views. The owner responds very fast to any questions and was great to work with. The house is very well equipped with pretty much anything you need. The private dock with lights for night was really nice too. We would definitely stay here again! Also nice that it's pet friendly so you can bring your dogs.

Great place for sunsets over the water

Just finished a week at this property and had a fantastic time. The house is small, but perfectly adequate for two or three people. The kitchen is surprisingly well equipped and the patio and fire pit right on the water were worth the price of admission by themselves. I also really appreciate the flexibility for pets.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. It was so nice that the kitchen has updated appliances and was fully stocked. The rest of the cabin was also very clean and comfortable.
