This quaint cabin is the only unit with a log façade on the acre of property. Tucked away but still a close drive to restaurants, slow paced entertainment, donut shop, grocery store, recreation center, bar, art studio, coffee shop and gas station. The uniqueness of this unit makes it desirable to stay in with window views of the woods from 3 directions and Just outside the back door is a picnic table for an evening outside. enjoy the common space while watching the birds and wildlife or stay inside and unwind from a busy week at work. I'm in the film industry and was on a shoot nearby and didn't want to drive an hour and a half home after each day of shooting. So I snagged a room here. It was great!

Everything was fine, but a few upgrades would be nice. Such as: New plates that are microwave safe and aren't racked. Which brings up the microwave. Throw it away. The carousel is broken and it is in disrepair. The towels could be of better quality, thicker, more absorbant. Dead bugs on the window sills, well....

Travelers beware

The week of my stay the owner moved my reservation twice. This place is a joke and to me appears to be in a dangerous location. It’s not a cabin as shown. It’s 8 cinder block apartments and looks nothing like pictures. Owner issued me the wrong code and left no spare key in the planter as instructed. I tried to check in at 11pm and could resulting having to drive to Covington to get a room. Was contacted by email at 3am. This place is a dump. This issue was not my fault in any way and was refused a refund.

Would not recommend this place to anyone

I’m not sure where start so I will make a list… -we were given the wrong check in instructions. The info I was given by the host was for the room of a different occupant. I ended up opening the door of a family staying in their cabin bc the host failed to give me proper check in instructions. We had to wait nearly an hour for the host to give me directions to the unit we were assigned (I have screenshots to prove this) - there were no towels (the listing said there would be) -the internet did not work (the WiFi info I was given different come up as an option for networks to join) - the floors were filthy - overall it was a bad experience but at least the bed was comfy and the fridge was clean.

Was a great place to stay for a work trip. Only thing to note was at the time of booking, the host stated that there would be a futon, however upon checking in there was no such thing. We had to buy an air mattress for my coworker, but overall served its purpose and the host was gracious in allowing me to stay an additional week.

Charming country apartment

I stayed in the cute apartment for three weeks while starting a new job in Covington. The apartment was clean and spacious and also very accommodating to my small dog. The owner was highly responsive, particularly during Hurricane Ida, during which I chose to evacuate. She also helped me extend my stay when I was in need. I highly recommend this VRBO!

I am the owner of a commercial new construction cleaning company of 15 years. I also manage 9 daily rentals and 8 yearly leased rentals. I am married to the love of my life with 4 children and 1 grandbaby. My husband and I love to travel and spend time with friends and family.

Why they chose this property

This property was meant for us to own. After stumbling on the listing and jumping out on a limb. Flying through hoops and remodeling the 8 units on the property, here we are. 8 daily rentals and multiple yearly leased properties. Its been a learning curve but we love hearing everyone's stories and guiding people around the area. There's more to see than you think in this small town.
