Walk to Town! Beautiful, Private Edgartown Home

Beautiful new addition 2025 (updated photos available late March.) Tucked at the end of a quiet, private lane, yet so close (0.6miles) to Edgartown center, you will find this restful, elegant property. Newly renovated in 2025, the home offers a large, comfortable living room, and an open kitchen and dining area, perfect for any season. The house itself has four bedrooms and four full bathrooms (plus an outdoor shower and a new 220 EV charger.) The backyard, an oasis all on its own, is a sanctuary complete with two large patio areas and fire pit. There is an outdoor grill, and dining table on the pergola with seating for eight, and the community park (open to the public) with tennis, basketball and a playground is a three minute walk from the house. The bike path is at the end of the street. Fuller Beach is 1.6 miles from the house, and South beach is a ten minute bike ride.

The beds are all incredibly comfortable, and each bedroom is equipped with its own mini-split (AC and heat.) All bedding and pillows are hypo-allergenic. The kitchen is fully stocked with All-Clad stainless steel cookware and bakeware. The fire pit makes for perfect nights under the stars, and the outdoor shower (seasonal) is a delight. There is added space in the basement with its own mini split (AC and heat;) smart tv, and couch that converts to two twin beds. The landing upstairs has a reading couch that converts to a daybed.

We supply all linens and towels, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella. The home has two washing machines and two dryers for renter use.

Long weekend

The house was beautiful and the location was perfect! The pictures do not do this house justice! It would be great for a family or multiple couples looking to get away to Martha's Vineyard. Host was very attentive and made everything so easy. Highly recommend this property!

First Visit to Martha’s Vineyard

What a beautiful home for us to stay at. This was our first trip to the Vineyard and it did not disappoint. The home had a modern appeal and wonderful location where everything was within walking distance. Great communication with Amy when we had questions. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Fantastic home and location

This home is wonderfully kept and updated. Extremely clean. Our kids enjoyed the ping pong table in the garage and the park behind the house - tennis, basketball, and even a roller hockey court there. Best of all, this location makes getting to beach or downtown Edgartown so easy. We biked or walked - very nice to be able to avoid having to find parking. Overall it was a wonderful vacation and stay! Thank you!

This was our 4th summer in a row renting this beautiful Edgartown home and we cannot say enough about how special of a place it is. The location is incredible (short stroll to town, 7 minute drive to beach) and we have made so many memories each year. With the additional new (gorgeous!) renovation, the house feels even more spacious and spread out. My kids spent time every single day out playing ping pong in the garage, soccer in the yard, or walking through the short path to the public playground. There is ample space, linens, kitchen supplies, etc. and we truly want for nothing when we stay at this home. The laundry situation (2 washers and 3 dryers) is a dream to stay on top of laundry and beach towels for a family of 5. We will be back and we highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to explore MV in a beautiful, private, and spacious way. Thank you to Amy for sharing this special home.

Wonderful family vacation

Christmas in Edgartown 2023

Our family treasures this weekend and Amy's house only enhanced the experience. The location is perfect - we walked to most of the weekend's events. The house was clean, charming and had everything you could want/need. The kids especially loved the ping pong table in the garage along with having their own bedroom upstairs. Fantastic rental

From top to bottom Amy has created a rental that speaks quality ! The Edgartown property is Adjacent to a outdoor workout area, croquet field, and easy access to the main road. Hidden Gem Yet Close To Everything

We have rented numerous properties on the Vineyard over the years. This home rises to the top, exceeds expectations from its spotless, new, tasteful interior, an expansive backyard with lovely gardens to an unbeatable location. Tucked away from the noise of downtown yet a 15 minute stroll to everything Edgartown has to offer. It’s equidistant walk or bike ride on the adjacent bike path to Morning Glory Farm for provisions. Owner Amy provided excellent instructions, and she’s stocked her lovely home with everything you need for a relaxing Vineyard vacation. It is a gorgeous modern cottage that’s ideal for hanging out yet close to everything. We will definitely return to this stunning home!

Perfect Pandemic Thanksgiving

With family plans cancelled we we're looking for a peaceful getaway over Thanksgiving. The house is fantastic, very comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Easy walk to Edgartown center which was really great. Amy is a terrific host, very responsive, and accommodating. An added plus was since we were cooking our Thanksgiving dinner at the house we brought good pans and cooking tools with us since we weren't sure how the kitchen would be equipped. We didn't need to bother. The house has really good quality pots and pans and all the cooking tools you need. All in all a great experience.

An amazing place to stay & great host!

My family and I spent a 6 days in Martha's Vineyard and were lucky enough to have found this house on VRBO. The house was clean, nicely landscaped, newly renovated (I think!), and really tastefully decorated with great furniture (not the cheap stuff). It felt like a very comfortable home you could live in for an extended period of time and not just rental. It was properly stocked with everything you need including a fire pit, hammock and grill in the back. It was an ideal walk into town and even had a secret path to a playground through the backyard which was very convenient for my 2 year old. Can't say enough great things about the house and our experience there. Also a shout out to Amy the host who was very responsive and thoughtful throughout the trip. I even forgot my computer charger and she sent it to back to me and wouldn't take payment for shipping. If I could give this house 6 stars I would!

Everything provided for an excellent stay

We had a wonderful stay in this comfy Edgartown home. The house was central to Everything! We have been coming to MV for the past 5 summers and really appreciated being on the bike path as well as walking distance to downtown without the traffic!!! The kids had the entire upstairs to themselves which we appreciated. My hubby and I stayed in the downstairs suite. Lots of different places to hang out in the house. The ping pong table was a huge hit and I finally learned how to play. The downstairs basement was a nice place for my son to get away and watch the anime that only he enjoys. The house was CLEAN, something I appreciated, well stocked and well appointed(beach gear also included). The owner left great instructions and was communicative and it felt like she knew exactly what to provide for a truly homely feel away from home.

Another incredible week!

We had another incredible week staying at Amy's beautiful home in Edgartown. This was our second summer in a row renting with our family of 5 and we enjoyed every second at the house and on the island. This year we were blown away by the brand new kitchen renovation and all new floors. It was an unexpected and amazing upgrade to see. The home and beds are incredibly comfortable, there is more closet and dresser space than you need, and the backyard truly feels like an oasis. I've now had two summers watching my three young kids kick soccer balls in the yard from the beautiful deck, swing in the hammock, and cut down a small path to a playground and path. The yard is large, peaceful, and very private. Our weather was perfect, so I went out every morning for a run to Edgartown harbor. To run down the empty main streets and look in windows and watch the sun rising over the boats and yachts is just a very special way to start the day. After dinner we walk back into town for ice cream, taking the bike bath at the top of the street all the way to main street. The proximity to downtown Edgartown is one of the best things about this home. Location, comfort, space, and subtle luxury make this home the perfect place for our family. We rented for next summer before even leaving this year. Thank you Amy for the effort and detail put into make this a place we can't wait to return to.

Perfect Vineyard Oasis!

This was our fourth family vacation on the Vineyard, and Amy's home was by far our favorite. The house was equipped with all of the components needed for a summer Vineyard vacation: beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler, tupperware for lunch on the go, two washers and dryers to keep summer clothes clean and ready, games and a ping pong table for rainy days (of which we had none this year!), a fantastic outdoor shower, and a beautiful back porch with a covered dining table. But wait... there's more! Amy has thought of everything. Ample linens and towels; every size plate, pot/pan, cookware you could need; comfortable beds (this is a big one for us!); blinds on all the windows (this is never a given!); throw blankets; well working air conditioners... the list goes on. And I cannot say how many times I thought, "I wonder if they have...", and then I would go to drawer I thought the object might be in, and low and behold, there it was. AND THEN, the location is perfection. We rented bikes and had a quick 1 mile ride to Morning Glory Farm in the morning, and a swift ride to Edgartown for ice cream. My husband and I had a date night in town and walked a beautiful 10 minutes to the center. I cannot say enough. We are so happy we found Amy's home, or our "borrowing house" as my girls (4 and 7) call it, and we well be back next summer! Thank you, Amy!

Don't miss this gem!

My husband and I have been renting vacation houses for 15+ years up and down the Cape, but this was our first time choosing the Vineyard. I cannot say enough about this house and our 2 week experience in Edgartown. The house is at the end of a long driveway, so once you arrive back from a day at the beach it feels private and tranquil. The yard is stunning. Beautiful landscaping, hammock, flowers, and butterflies fluttering around. My kids (8, 6.5, and 16 months) spent almost every day running around the huge fenced in yard. We had happy hour on the deck at the big table and could watch the kids kicking around a soccer ball AND enjoy a cocktail :). A little path from the yard leads to a park with multiple playgrounds, soccer, basketball, tennis, and a workout park. It was perfect for a family with little kids. The house itself was not only clean, it felt spacious, comfortable, and absolutely stocked with everything you can think of. I never had to want for a fresh towel, beach towel, extra pillow, blanket. Everyone had multiple dresser drawers and their own closet, and I still had empty drawers of storage. We felt organized and relaxed. The quality in putting together this home was generous and thoughtful and it was noticed. Everything (furniture, towels, bedding, glassware) was Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, West Elm, Serena and Lily, etc. This was not a rental thrown together with yard sale furniture. All the beds were comfortable and the huge comfy couch was perfect for all of us to curl up and watch a movie. The basement was such a nice extra living space, and even had a desk/chair where my husband was able to set up his monitor and computer and do work in a quiet area during some down time. The laundry room has TWO washers and TWO dryers, which was a luxury I didn't know I was missing :). The location is amazing. I ran almost every day and could choose between running to Edgartown Harbor (0.7) or switch directions and run to Morning Glory Farm (0.9). From the Harbor, I could weave in and out of all of the beautiful historic streets, window shop, and take in all the sights of downtown. We either took the ferry to Chappy (a 5 minute drive) or chose from several other close and amazing beaches for kids, all a stone's throw away. This truly felt like a vacation (which is saying a lot with 3 kids), and I booked our stay for next Summer before we left. Don't miss this gem - but save a week or 2 for me! :)

Perfect Oasis with amazing hosts!

This home is the most perfectly peaceful post and beam retreat! All decor is subtly lux, from furniture to appliances to bedding. Arrival and departure were the most turnkey I’ve experienced. Amy, our host, texted me personally on our arrival day to make herself available and her responses to anything we asked were right away, and with pleasure. All household necessities were provided, the cleaning team handled the bedding/bathroom laundry upon our departure. The backyard is a dream, and it truly is a stones throw to town with a private backyard path to the school playground and sports fields. It is equally close to both State and South beach. Each room having its own air made it extra comfortable for all of us, and of course having a finished basement is always a bonus. We needed another week, will definitely be back next summer and hope to be back sooner than that! Thank you!

Such a Relaxing Property

We can't recommend this place enough. Clean, beautifully decorated, equipped with everything we needed, a playground behind the house, and just a 15 min walk to town. We loved it. Perfect fora family with young kids.

I first fell in love with Martha's Vineyard while living on Chappaquiddick for a summer during college and have been visiting ever since! My husband and I finally decided to buy our own home in Edgartown this September and we are looking forward to our first season of hosting others and being a part of their experience on Martha's Vineyard.

Why they chose this property

This property is close enough to downtown Edgartown (an easy 15 minute walk) but has an incredibly private feel to it. The backyard is large and private, and beautifully landscaped. The furniture is all new and the house is impeccably clean. The public park is a two minute walk (basketball courts, playground, tennis courts) and the bike path is at the end of the street. Stop & Shop grocery store is a three minute drive, and Fuller beach is 1.6 miles away. South beach is a ten minute drive.
