About this property

Riverfront Cabin|Fireplace|Fire pit | White Mountains| Hiking

Relax at this beautiful spot located on the Ammonoosuc River. The sound of the river and the views of the mountains are amazing. Enjoy the fire pit with S'mores. Keep an eye out for the bald eagles and local wildlife. This 3 bed 2 1/2 bath (4 bed 3 1/2 if the "Bear Den" is rented see details. Sleeps 8 without the Bear Den) is the perfect space for families and couples and to get away from it all.

The house is located on the river, has a firepit, and is great for families and couples. The upstairs has 3 bedrooms 2 1/2 baths - First floor master has a new California King bed, the second floor has one bedroom with a Queen Bed and another bedroom with two Queen log beds. If the In Law unit "Bear Den" is rented (additional charge) - add an additional new King log bed and a pull out leather queen sofa and full bath making the house a 4 bedrooms 3 1/2 baths. The "Bear Den" is a perfect option for families and couples as it is a true in law unit which is NOT included in the upstair rental. It has a bedroom with a king bed, kitchen, living room, pull out queen leather sofa couch, which sleeps 2, walk out patio, and connects to the upstairs unit. If not rented it is locked off. We NEVER rent out the house to separate groups. The "Bear Den" is a separate unit with its own entrance and has a staircase connecting to the upstair unit. There is Air conditioning in the "Bear Den" but is it rarely needed. The snow mobile trail is across the street and it is a 7-8 min drive to Bretton Woods and a 14 min drive to Cannon.

Located in the White Mountains this neighborhood is quiet and close to all the Bretton Woods, Mt. Washington area has to offer.

The house is directly on the Ammonoosuc River and the snowmobile trail is right across the street. There is plenty of parking enough for snow mobile trailers.

We require a rental agreement to be signed and a security deposit.

Had an amazing time staying at the river front cabin! The mountain view is incredible. The cabin is immaculate and the backyard was great. Had a nice fire in the pit overlooking the river. Would 100% stay here again.

There were 3 couples who stayed at this property. This was kne of 3 that we stayed in on our trip to the Northeast. This was by far all of our favorite. Mark was very easy to work with and the property was exactly as described. We will definitely rent this place again.

The home has an amazing view. We saw a bear crossing the river on our first morning. We enjoyed evenings on the back deck. The owner reached out to ensure we had everything we needed. We would absolutely rent here again.

Restful time with family

Great place to unwind with family. We had four generations of family together and had a blast. Besides all the good things other reviews have said, I liked to point out the good quality of kitchenware with lots of counter space, newer appliances and furniture and comfortable beds. This is one of the top places we have stayed.

Bald Eagle River GetAway

The whole family enjoyed this lovely mountain spot along the river. We spent lots of time outside in the expansive yard along the river and by the fireside in the evening with hundreds of stars! There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The host Mark was easily reachable and responsive to questions. It is a short ride to a refreshingly beautiful lake and mountains. We will be back!

Return to the Eagle River House

Having stayed last summer, we couldn't wait to return to Twin Mountain. The house is very clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. A highlight this year was seeing three eagles at one time right from the deck. Best wildlife viewing spot in New Hampshire. Mark is an excellent host. He is very responsive and will check in as needed. We will return soon.

Incredible views

Everyone in our party enjoyed their stay at the Bald Eagle house. We even saw the eagle several times and caught trout right from the backyard. I'm 74 and went upriver and tubed safely down to the house several times. The walk on the ski mobile trail to the 2nd pond was very enjoyable. We had 9 in our party and everyone had their privacy. The house was very clean and slept 9 people comfortably. Would love to go back and stay for a 2nd week next summer

Perfect Vacation Spot

We had an amazing vacation at the Riverhouse. The home is beautiful, comfortable and clean. The views on the river can’t be beat. Such a tranquil, peaceful spot. We even had a visit from the Bald Eagle who spent about 20 minutes sitting on the river bank. What an amazing sight. We cooked big family meals in the well-equipped kitchen, made S’mores at the fire pit and played board games in the living room in front of a toasty fire. Went skiing at Bretton Woods, tubing at Cranmore Mountain and took a ride in a horse drawn sleigh at Nestlenook Farm. The location of this house is perfect, close to so many activities. As we were packing up to go home, we were already planning a return trip to the Riverhouse! Thank you, Mark, for your hospitality!!

Gorgeous place inside and outside

Everything was beautiful about this place: from towels and throws to pots and pans. And SO much space! There were 7 adults, 3 kids and 2 👶 in our group. We had 2 of our own pack and play for the babies. Three adults stayed in the Bear Den, there is a pull out sofa in a living room, good enough for one person to sleep. The river isn’t deep enough for swimming and the rocks are very slimy, but the kids enjoyed crossing it over. And there is trout! We stayed from Friday to Monday, no one was working at the construction site. It was very peaceful. Thank you, Mark!

My mom and my stay was fantastic! Mark was an excellent host and made things easy and communicated well. The house and property itself was stunning with amazing views of the surrounding landscape and river. The entire place was clean and well decorated. Would definitely stay there again with more family and friends as it was very spacious, more than enough room for my mom and I for the night, but great place to wake up in.

We had a great stay at Mark’s cabin. It was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Communication with Mark was 10/10. The location is perfect for exploring the White Mountains. We visited Franconia Notch, Omni Mount Washington, the Cog Railway, several hikes, and UTV rentsls in Gorham. Had lovrly packed lunch from Yaya’s. Would happily stay again.

To summarize in one statement: a serene, beautiful oasis. The atmosphere of the home was well thought out and truly provides a lot towards your stay. We enjoyed the fire place our first night which provided a cozy night in with our dog. Iris, our dog, provides her approval on the backyard, as she was able to get out a few zoomies. We stayed with another couple and didn’t feel like the place was small at all. We’ve already decided to come back again next year but for a longer stay.
