Nestled on the heights of the charming Provençal village of Cotignac, the Perched House is a 5-minute walk from shops and restaurants.
The house offers an area of approximately 70m2 across multiple levels:
From the terrace, entering through a large French window, you discover, on the left, a kitchen in Provençal colours where you will find all the equipment necessary for preparing delicious meals. A table and chairs are arranged under the pergola outside to allow you to enjoy the exceptional view.
From the kitchen, you access a first bathroom (shower, washbasin, toilet).
To the right of the entrance, a few steps allow you to access a large bright room where the living room-dining room is installed; with two French windows to access the outdoors. Air conditioning ensures coolness during heatwave summers.
On the first floor are two rooms: a beautiful double room (160x200 bed) equipped with a fan and a small twin room (2 90x200 beds). This small room allows for 1 adult or 2 children to sleep.
The washing machine and dryer are located in the bathroom on this floor (shower, washbasin and toilet). Two French windows provide access to the outside, onto the upper restanque terrace.
The exteriors are quite atypical: endowed with a significant gradient, the property offers you a multitude of small corners that you will appreciate throughout the day. However, given the slope, this property is not suitable for elderly people or those with mobility difficulties.
Surrounded by lush vegetation, the swimming pool is discovered by taking a small paved path. Once past the gate, you will be delighted to spend your sunny afternoons by the water, admiring the dominant view over the old roofs of the village.
For vehicles, two spaces are provided on the public road at the entrance to the property. From there, one takes a private path to cross the upper part of the garden and reach the house (caution, very steep access). Another pedestrian entrance below allows you to reach the village centre on foot more quickly.
Cotignac, a picturesque village in the Green Provence, in the heart of preserved nature, offers a weekly market all year round, flea markets, concerts and open-air cinema festival during the summer season; 40 minutes from Lake Ste Croix and the Verdon Gorges; numerous sporting and nautical activities, festivities.
In this haven of peace, holidays rhyme with well-being and serenity.

Vue splendide
Maison charmante et romantique avec une vue superbe sur le village et accès à pied possible par les marches en bas du jardin.
Les deux défauts sont l’accès: chemin très raide pour accéder depuis la route et le manque de Clim dans les chambres, qui sont sous le toit.
L’équipement interne est ok, le jardin pourrait être mieux entretenu.
In Hanglage des Ortes Cotignac findet sich das Kleinod. Das Grundstück ist terrassenartig aufgebaut auf mehreren Ebenen, d.h. für bewegungseingeschränkte Personen ist das Haus definitiv nicht empfehlbar. Um das Haus zu erreichen geht es einen steilen Weg nach unten und auch im Haus selbst sind viele (kleine) Treppen, die es zu überwinden gibt.
Hier findet sich jetzt ein schönes, für die Gegend typisches, Haus. Der Haupteingang erfolgt über eine Art Flur mit der Küche links und rechts, mit der ersten Treppe, der Zugang zum Wohnzimmer. Eine weitere Ebene höher finden sich dann 2 Schlafzimmer und das große Badezimmer, welches auch 2 (gewöhnungsbedürftige) Türen in das Aussengelände hat, die auch die einzige Lüftungsoption sind. Das kleine Badezimmer an der Küche im "EG" möchte ich nicht unerwähnt lassen, aber wurde faktisch nicht genutzt, da z.B. die Toilette nur für das "kleine" Geschäft nutzbar war, vermutlich aufgrund der Rohrdurchmesser...
Der grosse, sehr sonnige Pool befindet sich auf einer "Nebenterrasse" des Geländes, der auch im Sommer in der Provence ein wirkliches Geschenk ist.
So viel zur Architektur des Objektes...
Leider merkt man im Garten, dass hier kaum oder wenig Pflege durchgeführt wird, sei es schneiden, mähen, giessen und es wirkt alles ein wenig "ungepflegt". Sehr schade, denn man erkennt das Potential des Gartens, der aber so nicht umfassend nutzbar ist. Der Pool selbst wird 2 mal in der Woche gereinigt und ist gut gepflegt.
