Whistle Stop - Close to the Ark Encounter

Galloping Goose Cottages located Dry Ridge, Kentucky. We offer 10 cottages 8 with Queen Beds and 2 with Twin beds. All are fully equipped with Air Conditioning and Heat, Cozy beds with Luxurious Linens, Full Bathroom, ROKU Flat Screen Tv's, Wi-Fi, Mini Refrigerator, Microwave, and Keurig. The cottages are 190 Square feet. Parking on premises is available. They're located only minutes away from The Ark in Williamstown, KY! The Cottages are located next to a train track.
After making a reservation please be sure to check your email. The cottages are self check in. There is no office onsite. All check-in details such as address, access codes etc. will be located in that email.
After a reservation is made please complete the pre-checkin details sent to your email from RGC Enterprise Vacation Homes. Our address as well as places to eat and things to do in the area will be listed.
The Access code to your cottage is sent 3 days before your reservation via email.

Great for a quick stay. We stayed 2 nights and it was perfect. It is small but comfortable enough for 1 or 2 guests. Close to the Ark and restaurants nearby. Everything we needed was already there. There is a train that comes through, but it was not bad. I would totally recommend and would stay again given the opportunity.

Great place to stay!! Room size is perfect for me or a couple. It’s 10 minutes away from the Ark and 40 minutes away from the creation museum. Room was clean, tv was good, cold AC. It is close to the railroad tracks but it was not a bother to me at all. The value was great also! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly!!

This was the perfect place for my solo trip to the Ark and Creation Museum. I enjoyed the little village of tiny houses, sitting on the front porch and was comfortable staying there alone. The shower was always perfect temperature and the bed was enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again.

Whistle Stop Room

The property was well maintained. The train whistle from the Railroad could definitely be a problem if you are a light sleeper.

Trains kept a rolling all night long!

The cabin was very cute and perfect size for the night. The bed was comfortable but every time you moved in it, it squeaked and was loud. Then we were so close to the train tracks that the many trains that came through during the night blew their whistle and kept us away and the whole cabin shook! Not a good night for sleeping

Cute cottages

Overall the cottages are super cute and are perfect for a night stay. Only negatives are the AC unit is super loud when it is running and the bed frame was very loud and squeaky just when sitting down. Rolling over while sleeping will wake you up. May just need some wd-40. But like I said, overall it was great. We did the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum tours and the location was perfect!

Very clean and comfortable

The cabin was spacious enough to be comfortable, and yet cozy. Proximity to the Ark was very convenient and Williamston/Dry Ridge are very nice, quaint communities. (Highly recommend Hansies Flip Burger and the Bean Cafe & Bakery!) We were concerned about the "train" issue, but they barely pulled the whistle and with our fan/noise machine, it didn't disturb us at all. Light from the window was some issue, but the wonderful housekeeping lady brought us some darkening shades that solved the whole problem. A rug beside the bed would top off the experience. Bed was comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. Recommended for anyone needing lodging in this area.

We got to the room around 5:15 maybe and the room was still dirty so I contacted the number out on the door and they said that they would send someone to clean the room so we went out to dinner in the meantime, but we walked into a dirty room, so that was not the greatest, but they cleaned it up and everything was OK after that should’ve been some kind of compensation you know?

We really enjoyed our stay at the "Whistle Stop". Just perfect for our sightseeing and trip to the Ark Encounter. The train was mentioned, but it did not affect our experience at all. It was so pleasant sitting on the porch with coffee each morning watching the rabbits and birds, so peaceful really. I did attempt to contact the host by text on Sunday evening about the TV but they did not respond. We were able to reset the box and handle it ourselves. Not a big deal.
