Whispering Pines! 25 miles to Yosemite + 9 miles to Mariposa!

Our home is very private and spacious and is located about 9 miles from downtown Mariposa and 25 miles to the Arch Rock entrance of Yosemite. It's nestled in the Midpines hills but has easy paved access to highway 140.

Our space is designed for gathering, fun, and relaxation! With a pool table, foosball table, games, puzzles, and more, we have something for everybody!

We can typically be onsite to greet you. If for some reason we are unavailable to meet you, we will be available online to answer any questions and ensure you have a wonderful stay.

The neighborhood is very quiet and nestled on 7 acres in Midpines, CA. There is ample lounge space outside and a seasonal creek that runs the length of the property in the rainy season.

Perfect birthday getaway! Excellent location to get into the park. Easy drive to Mariposa for grocery, food, drinks, etc. Host was wonderful and accommodating to all our needs. Quick to respond and eager to please. Would recommend if needing a place outside the park, but not too far away.

It was the perfect location for our labor day weekend get away! Easy access to the park, with a very spacious house full of fun games. We also enjoyed utilizing the grill outside to make yummy dinners. We had a some hiccups with the code, but the hosts were quick to respond and super helpful!

Yosemite Wilderness Gem

Our family of 8 enjoyed our stay at Whispering Pines. The house was large enough to accommodate our group with foosball and a pool table to pass the time along with plenty of games. It was a great location for the family wedding we were attending.

Great Spot to Visit Yosemite with Family and Friends

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Yosemite retreat! The four spacious bedrooms were perfect for resting after long days of exploring. Communication with Charissa was excellent, and the check-in process was seamless. The cleanup and checkout instructions were clear and easy to follow. A special highlight was Charissa letting us know about the ripe cherry tree in the yard—those cherries were absolutely delicious! Thank you for providing such a wonderful place to stay. We’d love to return!

Morel foraging in Midpines

My 4 brothers flew in from around the country to join me in a search for morels in recent burn zones around Yosemite. We got skunked this year (compared with bonanzas on some prior trips), but our accommodations were excellent and Midpines and Mariposa are charming.

Beautiful home

One of the few homes we've found that was even more beautiful than in the photos. Everything was spotless. Charissa couldn't have been quicker to respond to every question we had. Loved the pool table and selection of games in the home because it is a quiet area. So enjoyed our family time in the evenings, relaxing after an active day in Yosemite. Highly recommend this home!

We had an amazing stay here during our Half Dome adventure!Communication with the owner was excellent—when we had trouble with the entry code, there was a number posted by the front door. We called, and they answered right away with an alternate code that worked perfectly.The house itself is huge and so well set up for groups. There was plenty of space for hanging out, cooking, and dining together. The kitchen and fridge were spacious and stocked with lots of supplies for us to use. Bedrooms were roomy, bathrooms were spotless, and there were enough towels for everyone. Everything was very clean and well-maintained, with clear instructions for check-in and check-out.We loved all the extra touches—tons of seating, games, a pool table, foosball, and board games that kept us entertained. The outdoor area had lots of parking, and the view of the stars at night was unforgettable. The location was also good—just 10–15 minutes from restaurants and shops in Mariposa, and about an hour to Yosemite Valley (wish it was a little bit closer).Overall, this rental was perfect for hosting a big group and made our trip even more memorable. Highly recommend!

Spacious, excellent location in Midpines

We had a great stay with our group of two couples and an infant with tons of space to spare. The location in Midpines is about an hour drive (without traffic) to Yosemite Valley locations, which was the main target of the trip during our Spring visit. The balance of distance from the park and also near enough to conveniences was ideal. Location also convenient about 15 minutes from restaurants in Mariposa. We stopped at a larger grocery store in Oakhurst on our drive in which was great. Favorite local spots were June Bug Cafe, 1850 Brewery, and The Grove (our overall favorite). House was well stocked with essentials (oil, salt/spices) and was very clean with provided soap/shampoo, which was a plus. The hosts’ communication and website was great! Overall highly recommend and would happily return with a larger group to experience Yosemite in a different season

Whispering Pines.

My family and I loved this home, Charissa & Patrick we’re great and made checking in and out very easy. Yosemite was only an hour away, and the nearest town and Merced River were only several miles away. The home is beautiful and nicely secluded. We couldn’t have asked for a greater first experience to Yosemite.

Wonderful property for relaxing stay outside Yosemite

We had an excellent time staying at this property during our visit to Yosemite! Communication with the owner was quick, check-in was easy, and checkout was also very straightforward and easy. The home is very spacious, with a very large loft/4th bedroom. It's on a property with various fruit and nut trees and during wet periods would have a creek running through it (although due to the time of year and the dry year it was dry when we were there). It is located about 30-40 minutes from the park entrance (total of about 1 hour from Yosemite Valley and Curry Village), so it was a good location for heading into the park each day. It's only 15 minutes from Mariposa. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend the place to others visiting Yosemite!

Perfect get away location

My friends and I needed a place to stay while we visited Yosemite. The home is great for 8 people to sleep comfortably and have space for many activities. The home is incredibly clean and has modern appliances. Has all the pots and pans with cooking utensils. The grill works great. Parking is great for 4 cars. Bathrooms are newly renovated and the water is hot! Heating and ac is quick and efficient. Pool table and foos ball were fun to use. Nice dining areas. Comfy couch! I would highly recommend this for a group of 2 families or a group of friends. Only 30 minute drive to Yosemite.
