Escape to "The Retreat," a beautifully updated historic beach cottage in the heart of Pacific Grove, offering an AMAZING LOCATION that puts you steps from everything! Originally built in 1908 within the charming Pacific Grove Retreat, this home blends rich history with every modern convenience for a cozy, comfortable, and unforgettable getaway. Pacific Grove STR #0084.

Step inside to an inviting open floor plan where the living room seamlessly flows into the fully stocked kitchen. Relax by the huge gas fireplace, enjoy your favorite shows on the Smart Samsung TV with streaming apps, and take in the abundant natural light from the soaring ceilings and skylights. The dining room opens directly to a private deck, creating an incredible indoor-outdoor living experience. Here, you'll find an outdoor living room with another huge gas fireplace, an outdoor eating area, BBQ, and for ultimate relaxation, a hot tub and outdoor shower.

Upstairs, a spacious living room loft provides additional comfortable seating, another Smart Samsung TV, and a third gas fireplace. Need to catch up on some work? An adjustable standing desk is also available.

The home features two comfortable bedrooms on the first floor, each with a queen bed. The master bathroom offers a bathtub shower, while the second bathroom boasts a luxurious steam shower.

You'll rent directly from the owner, ensuring personalized communication with me and my local house manager. I love sharing my home with guests eager to experience all that Pacific Grove has to offer.

You simply can't beat this location! Everything you desire is within easy reach: stroll to downtown for charming restaurants and shops, or head to Lovers Point Beach for sun and sea. The Pacific Grove Golf Course is nearby, and the world-renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium and historic Cannery Row are just a mile away on the scenic beach trail. Day trips to Carmel for shopping, Pebble Beach for golfing, or Big Sur for breathtaking hikes are all easy drives. Or, simply stay in and unwind in the hot tub, read a book by a cozy fire, and truly relax.

Please note: The Pacific Grove Retreat is a historic, close-knit neighborhood. While we want you to fully enjoy your stay, this property is not suitable for parties. We strictly observe the guest maximum of 4 and strive to be good neighbors by maintaining a peaceful environment. Our stay in Pacific Grove was amazing. The sauna and steam shower on-site made it feel like a spa the whole trip — such a great way to unwind from the stresses of life. The location couldn't be beat: beach, restaurants, and shops were all just a short walk away. Highly recommend for anyone wanting relaxation and convenience in the same stay.

We stayed at Lovers Point Retreat with friends for my husband’s 50th birthday. It was such a charming house. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the back patio, and barbecued dinner one of the evenings. The kitchen was well stocked, and had several coffee and tea options. It felt like a safe neighborhood, and was very quiet. We walked to a restaurant at Lovers Point, which was only a quick 5 minute walk. I would definitely recommend this retreat!

What an amazing getaway spot!The house is bright & airy. The beds & pillows were comfy. The kitchen was very well-stocked. The back deck was lovely. All-around great place to spend a weekend.We really enjoyed walking to the beach & to the Pacific Grove shops (cute bookstore, great coffee, several good restaurant options). We also walked the seaside path to the aquarium (25 min) and Cannery Row. No complaints!

We loved our stay in Pacific Grove! The house is perfect for two couples and there’s an upstairs loft for lounging and watching TV. We spent most of our time on the deck in the evenings, sitting by the fire. The boys used the hot tub after a day of golfing while the girls took a walk to Lovers Point. The kitchen was well stocked and the owner, Margaret, provided us with directions on how to use all the amenities as well as restaurant recommendations. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a great rental house! They have thought of everything in terms.of amenities. Multiple gas fireplaces, hot tub, chairs and picnic items for the beach.It's in a great location to walk to beach, parks, restaurants, bars, shops.It's got recommendations for local businesses, etc.And all the details are spot on. Everything in working order, remotes easily accessible, signs with directio s, etc.Very well done!

Best home rental I've ever stayed at! My gf and I came for her birthday. The house has an amazing location, every possible thing you could need in the kitchen, amazing backyard and even a view of the ocean from the second floor balcony. You will not regret staying here! Great location! Walking distance to cannery row, great restaurants and Lovers Beach. Restaurant recommendation: Passion Fish in Pacific Grove. Right up the street from the rental. Very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the multiple fireplaces and hot tub. They also provided toiletries in the bathroom-toothpaste, make up remover, etc. Nice extra touches for their guests. We will definitely return and cannot recommend more highly!

The home was very comfortable; incredibly clean and extremely well stocked especially in its modern kitchen. I appreciated that the host was readily accessible and responded quickly to any questions I had prior to booking and was welcoming once we arrived. The location of the home was perfect for the 3 of us (older adults) within walking distance to many restaurants and Lovers Point beach. Because of the chilly weather we did not take advantage of the lovely backyard with its seating area, sauna and hot tub. We will definitely return.

LoversPointRetreat was awesome! Everything was better than advertised. The place is exactly like the photos. We used it as a base for exploring Big Sur and highly recommend it. Pacific Grove is beautiful and offers a lot of restaurants and shops. Honestly, after hiking all day, we enjoyed using the grill, hot tub, and sauna. Margaret was very responsive and gave us some great hiking suggestions. Bottom line it was perfect and we would love to stay again.

This was a perfect stay. The home is cute, in a historical district that makes it even more interesting. The outdoor fireplace was so much fun to sit around after a long day of activities. The hot tub helped sooth some sore muscles. And the location was perfect, close to walking trails along the shore and close enough to walk to dinner at night. Communication with owner was timely and she was very helpful We Loved this stay!!!

Lover's Point Retreat was a GREAT place to stay. Margaret & Frank were awesome hosts with very efficient communication and SO organized. They had suggestions for activities, restaurants, etc. The home was very clean and in a superb location. We walked everywhere and really enjoyed the back patio with a fireplace, hot tub, sauna, and grill. Pacific Grove is a delightful, quiet community and we were so close to restaurants, grocery stores, beaches, etc. After a busy day, we looked forward to going home, enjoying a glass of wine on the patio, and all the other amenities of this place. So relaxing. One night we bought fresh fish from the fish market at Monterey Fisherman's Wharf and grilled it - DELICIOUS! The BEST place to stay for a Monterey/Carmel visit. Hopefully one day we can return.
