About this property

Historic building on the Mississippi River

Spend some relaxing time staying at our historic building on the Mississippi River in Hampton, Illinois. We have a spacious deck facing the river for that morning coffee with a Tiki bar for those afternoon and evening cocktails with beautiful sunsets. Fish off the pier. Bring your boat, kayak, canoe or jet-ski (there is a boat ramp a mile away) and spend the day on the river or at the sand bar beach a mile and a half downstream. Bring your bicycles because The Great River Trail bike path is literally right out the front door. There is a beautiful 33 acre park about 7 blocks south with an 18 hole Frisbee golf course. Illiniwek Park is just a half mile away with nature/hiking trails. As part of the Greater Quad Cities, Moline, Rock Island, Davenport and Bettendorf are only a few minutes away.
Just 4 miles from I-80 and 14 minutes from TPC at Deere Run golf course.
Winters are nice here too. Bald eagles are usually the most active during January and February.
This is a duplex (up and down) and we live on the top floor, so we are on site. This is a quiet neighborhood with limited parking, so parties/gatherings need to be low key. If you are here visiting friends or family and want to have a few people over that’s fine. Rentals are only for the registered guests to stay though.

Amazing Gem
We spent the weekend in the Quad Cities for our anniversary and hit several tourist spots. This place was a nice location in a small town but still close to everything. It was peaceful and the building is so cool! We can't wait to go back and hit all the cool spots we saw like Millwork Coffee and the Rust Belt area.

History and comfort
This main level apartment is located in an historic general store with a rear deck just a few steps from the Mississippi River. The apartment itself has been renovated to be very convenient and comfortable. I have stayed at Mike’s property previously. He is a great host.
