Welcome to Funky Town! Now with A/C, this cute loft bedroom A-frame apartment in Maple Falls is conveniently located to in-town amenities, and offered at a BUDGET price! The main floor features a full kitchen and a full-sized refrigerator / freezer, an apartment sized range / oven, a dishwasher, a coffee maker and toaster, plus a dining area, one full bath, and a generous sized living room area with a large flat screen monitor, and a laundry cubby with a full sized washer / dryer. Ascending the spiral staircase leads to the loft area with one queen sized bed. Don't forget Fido. This pet-friendly (2-PET MAXIMUM, No Exceptions) vacation property will comfortably sleep up to 2-persons (ENFORCED Maximum Occupancy!).

**Wi-Fi service is now available in our area and provided FREE OF CHARGE for Guest use. Ski weekend trip

Our stay at the mount baker lodging a frame cabin in maple falls was excellent. The cabin was beautiful staff were friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to do a late checkout for a small fee so we could catch one extra day on the mountain. They were pet friendly and even offered to take out dog out for a walk while we were gone for the day. Overall 10/10 would stay again.

Maple Falls visit

A short stop in Maple Falls and this A-frame suited us fine. Wonderful hiking trails and easy access to Mt. Baker. It was a little warm in the A-frame but the fans provided helped cool things down. Our visit was during the hot spell. No screen on the upstairs window and it would have helped to have windows on the street side open for a cross draft but overall things were fine. Would be helpful to have instructions on how to use the tv. One bright note is the great coffee house and superb Japanese restaurant a couple doors down.

great location at a great price

the bed is up a tricky spiral staircase that is scary to travel for a mid-night bathroom run. the bed sagged in the middle and was quite discomforting. there are no drapes on the top floor (with bed) and the outside lights can be bothersome... having gotten that out of the way, we really enjoyed our stay. it is in a great location with easy access to a great small-town grocery store. the kitchen had all the essentials we needed and parking was simple. the fireplace was cozy and the living space is quite large. since this unit is above the office, it can be noisy during the day but is very quiet at night.

Nice looking but…

I was a little disappointed that the cabin was above the office. The spiral stairway was nice to look at but as senior citizens was a bit hard to navigate, plus the bathroom was downstairs that made it difficult at night. The bed was extremely comfortable and the cabin was clean. 2 of the burners on the stove were not working and the coffee maker did not work properly the 2nd day. The tv had about 3 or 4 channels and cell service was sketchy. The shower was a bit low and a tall person may not like this. The neighborhood was quiet at night.

Cozy A-frame with lots of caveats and a few drawbacks

This A-frame cabin is cozy, classically furnished, and clean which are all good. However it's hard to relax and feel like you're 'getting away' due to the location and external environment. It is above a working office, we were there on the weekend and you could hear people working below. Not ideal at all if you're trying to escape work. Also folks are driving up to get their unit keys until very late and they can't help but being loud, again not ideal. The location is right on the highway so there is good bit of noise there too. The bed is super soft and has a memory foam topper, we didn't love that but maybe some folks will. Based on all that the price was a bit higher than would be desired and VRBO is just a passthrough here, you can book directly with the owner and save the fee. Overall not thrilled with the VRBO experience here though it was still nice to be up in the mountains.

spacious and clean

this apartment is right on the highway and above the office. It has a nice private deck in the back with a woodsy view. I visited in the summer and no AC but the fans kept the apartment comfortable. I think it would be a great place to stay during winter too. Close to skiing and other winter sports. The apartment is very spacious with a quirky spiral staircase to a loft which my dog would not go near. Had to carry him up and down haha! Staff was very friendly!

Great location in town close to the mountain.

Wish the light in front would turn off in front at some point during the night. Stays pretty bright if you want all dark don't stay here.

Great value close to Mt Baker!

This was a great place to stay for a weekend skiing at Mt Baker. Check-in/checkout was seamless and the place was actually pretty spacious for just the two of us.
