We stayed for the Texas Renaissance Festival and had an awesome stay here! Was very convenient to all the major highways in the area and had a number of places to eat within a short driving distance. Was perfect for our group for our stay! Would definitely recommend this rental to anyone looking to stay in the area.

The walls have stains, dirt, scuffs, and look overall dirty, the smell is pungent of old animal pee, the sinks weren’t cleaned properly, and the furniture is damaged. The beds are old and mattresses are uncomfortable and noisy. The front room literally has a piece of plywood separating it from the kitchen. I have much higher standards for 400 a night after taxes and fees. Location is good and it fit our group, but other than that- it needs a big upgrade. Pulling out all the carpet to get rid of the animal smell and cleaning the dirty walls and re painting need to be a priority.

Woodforest Golf Club Trip

The house was perfect for our stay. Great location ,easy to get around. Huston is a hard find for a good location 2 miles could be 30 minuets you never know. This was great easy to get to work every morning.

Softball Trip

Our group stayed for a softball tournament. Our hosts were easy to communicate with and helpful. There was plenty of room to relax and enjoy the downtime. We would stay here again if in the area!

Wedding stay

We stayed here for our son’s wedding. We had a difficult time getting in to the house and getting in touch with the owner to let us in which made it difficult to get ready for the rehearsal dinner and get there on time.

Cleaning issues

This property needs a thorough deep cleaning. There were dishes that were still dirty in the cabinets. Food was still dried on them. The baseboards were not clean at all. There was black mold in the master bedroom shower.

Spacious House

We had some missed communication about checking in but was soon resolved. The host brought extra towels which was appreciated. We felt the home had a lot of space for our large family and we enjoyed our time there.

Texas Ren Fest

The house was very elegant and roomy with a homey feeling. We've rented plenty of homes for vacations and this was the first house we've rented that supplied cooking seasonings and stuff for you to use, We would recommend it to others to rent. The neighborhood is very quiet, and the hosts are quick to respond to any questions you may have. They even sent a message asking how we were enjoying our trip which I thought was nice.

Excellent Host

Nice house and comfortable for my families. The host was very accommodating to us. I needed a rollover mattress to accommodate my family and he was willing to help. Our flight was changed and we needed to extend our check out time to noon and she accommodated us. Although we also had issues getting a lift to the airport which created some inconveniences with the host preparing the place for the next guest, she was still able to accommodate us outside to wait for our ride. I sincerely apologize to the host for all the inconveniences we caused them. Thank you for hosting my family. This is a Nice place to stay with family. I will stay here again if need be. Thank you!

Needs some TLC

We stayed here for a wedding in town. There were 4 adults, two teenagers, a 7-yr old and a newborn. Overall the house has plenty of beds. We noticed a smell from what's likely a pet that either currently lives here at times or did previously. The floors were sticky, cabinets looked like someone painted over dirt/grease, baseboards were dirty and beat up throughout the house and the icemaker and water at the fridge didn't work. The front bedroom was previously an office or dining room that walks through into the kitchen. Instead, this hallway is blocked with a floor to ceiling piece of plywood screwed into the wall and painted to match. So there's just a layer of plywood for sound deadening between the kitchen and that bedroom. Overall there are just several minor things that could be done to go a long ways. Clean and paint baseboards, replace a few light switch covers and outlets, replace a couple toilet seats that are worn out, get rid of the pet smell, fix the icemaker, and buy an actual coffee pot and then it would be golden.

House in Rough Shape

We booked this house to share with my sister's family over the winter break to be close to my parents. While it had plenty of bedrooms, the house was in very rough shape. At one point it must have been a home business and the wear and tear shows, as does the sign on the bedroom that says Private- Employees Only. There is a large burn next to the stove where some of the countertop melted off. The cabinets are splattered with grease, and then painted over. There are two burn marks on the linoleum floor in the kitchen. It's peeling and tearing at all the thresholds. The wood floors weren't installed properly and there are some noticeable gaps in some places. The kitchen has the remnants of child locks everywhere. Fortunately, we didn't have to be at the house for much other than sleeping. There's a train that goes by during the night and you can hear the very loud whistles. During the day the gun range is close enough to hear that as well. The bed in the master bedroom is terrible. It wasn't put together properly and isn't supported so it's at an angle making it impossible for two people to sleep in it. There's a patch job on the drywall in the master bathroom. The house has a smell. It needs some serious care. As soon as we got there I knew we couldn't stay there for the entire 10 days we booked. I dropped it down to a doable 7 but have yet to get any refund that I'm owed. Yes it's cheaper to rent, but beware of what you're getting.
