The location did not feel safe at night for two women staying alone. There was food left in the oven. The shelves and dishes had not been dusted and we lost electricity for several hours. And we left a day early because we found bed bugs and are currently covered in bites.

There was no claim made to us about bed bugs by this guest or any others. After seeing this review, we had an inspection done and there was no indication of bed bugs.

Disliked: Check-in, communication, location
Our stay wasn’t terrible but also wasn’t the best. The check-in process was honestly a nightmare — we had to contact Vrbo help support after not being able to get in contact with the host a couple hours AFTER our check-in time. There was no communication ahead of time about how to even enter the property, which caused even more confusion because we had to go through a tall wooden fence to even find the apt. The house itself had a strong smell, like someone had smoked inside for years, and the neighborhood didn’t feel very comfortable. We also didn’t have hot water the first day due to not knowing that the knobs were reversed, which should have been communicated before arrival.Overall, it wasn’t a great experience, and better communication and maintenance would’ve made a big difference.
