About this property
Beautiful Lakeview Log Cabin on 60-Acre Property
Welcome to Paradise! Our incredible log home is built on 60 acres, sleeps 24, and is perfect for a family reunion or a group of friends who wish to escape the craziness of the city and suburbs together. A seamless fusion of rustic charm and exquisite luxury, the estate has a private lake with a deck, a gazebo, heated pool, hot tub, tennis court, and absolute privacy. Professionally cleaned after each stay.
The estate also has very fast internet! Up to 1GB which is the highest you can get in any place around. Upload speeds can go up to 500MBPS and download speeds are 900MPBS.
The space
The home offers 9 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms and plenty of space for up to 26 people to stay very comfortably. The entire house has a natural ambiance, from the golden-brown wood that forms the walls and ceiling, to the unique wood logs used to make the beds, to the tasteful rustic decorations, all with luxury in mind.
Outside is a lake that is fed by two natural sources, the water is clean! A hot tub is also available for your enjoyment. A large deck has a BBQ for the grill master in your group and has incredible views of the lake, and a fire pit for burning wood that you can find in the nearby forest. A tennis court is also available for the athletes, and there is a gazebo for relaxing.
The swimming pool is next to the house, surrounded by a lovely stone patio and furniture for your relaxation and enjoyment!
We also just recently made a 2 mile trail on the property! It circles the entire property and is completely private. It’s great to get your daily walk in and of course spend time with family and friends.
The kitchen has new state-of-the-art appliances, granite countertops, and is stocked with everything you need to keep your crew well fed and happy.
The family room has a large fireplace with plenty of places to store wood, and the lower level has a large game room that has a pool table, poker table, knock hockey, chess sets and a dartboard. There are also a couple of bars in the home from which to serve everyone their favorite beverages. This home was designed to ensure maximum enjoyment and entertainment for all its guests.
The house has two master bedrooms with in-suite bedrooms, one is located above the garage with its own gorgeous bathroom, living area and privacy, the second is the main house and has an amazing bathroom and balcony.
The Perfect Day
Wake up and put on a pot of coffee, and watch as the new day announces itself as the caffeine warms and wake you up, all the while taking in the view of the gorgeous private lake. Use the fresh eggs you purchased at a local farm to make egg sandwiches, or omelets, or scrambled eggs, along with some fresh berries or other fruit.
Here in winter? Then get ready for a fun day of skiing! Head to the slopes to shred some late morning snow, then have lunch at home (you’re close enough!) or find a nice bistro for a sandwich. After you have rested those legs, head on back to the slopes for an afternoon session.
If you are here in the spring, summer or fall, grab those clubs and hit the link, or your fishing pole and test your skills as an angler on the best lakes and river that Vermont has to offer. Do you like to support local artists? There are plenty of art galleries and shops to find that next perfect piece for your home. There are also wineries and breweries to tour, if that is more your speed.
Once the day starts to conclude, it is time for games! Deal out the cards for a Texas Hold’em poker tournament, or rack up the pool table with bragging rights on the line. For those looking to relax, serve a round of your group’s favorite beverages as you and your group have lovely conversation on the large outdoor deck or in the gazebo, or while soaking your muscles in the hot tub. Or you can start a fire in the outdoor firepit and reminisce about the memories you have just made while you snack on some treats while watching as the delightful Vermont sunset announces the conclusion of the day.
If you are a writer or painter, the property is absolutely fantastic to minimizing distractions, providing vistas for inspiration, and plenty of places to set up the typewriter to start the next great American novel. Put on a little background music, and get creating!
The Neighborhood
The house is located on a private secluded 60-acre estate high above the valley floor in the middle of Green Mountain National Forest. Absolute privacy is guaranteed.
One of the best features for winter renters is that the estate is located in the “golden triangle” in Vermont it is close to several ski resorts, which makes this the perfect location for long ski vacations. There are so many places to ski your party will not be bored. Magic Mountain is 5 miles away, Stratton Mountain is 15 miles away, and Okemo is 17 miles away. Bromley Mountain, only 5 minutes away, is great for kids as well as for novice and intermediate skiers. It is so close, you can even go back home for lunch, and then back to the mountain under an hour! Two excellent cross-country skiing centers, Wild Wings and Viking Nordic, are less than 10 minutes away. There are also options for snowmobiling. If this is not enough, Manchester and its surrounding areas offer several unique and unforgettable sleigh ride experiences, including dogsledding.
In the summer enjoy numerous hiking or cycling opportunities nearby. Bromley Sun Mountain Summer Park offers family adventures for the whole day of fun including New England’s longest zipline, Vermont’s longest water-slide raft ride, America’s longest triple-track Alpine Slide, climbing walls, mini-golf and much more.
The historic town of Manchester is only 15 minutes away. There you can enjoy many fine restaurants. You may also visit the highly rated Equinox Golf Resort and Spa in the center of town which offers a wide range of activities: Land Rover Experience Driving School offers full day of off-road driving instructions on the 80-acre purpose-built course. Green Mountain Falconry School offers a rare opportunity to handle a trained hawk. Orvis Shooting School offers beginning and experienced shooters new techniques based on the English Churchill technique. The complete shooting system is applicable to upland hunting, waterfowling, and sporting clays.
The Dorset Summer Theatre Festival, Vermont Horse Show and Southern Vermont Art Center are nearby.
