Conference stay

I attended a conference in Beaufort and enjoyed my stay at this lovely vrbo. The kitchen is updated and the house is in a quiet cul-de-sac. I particularly loved the deck that overlooked the marsh - it has a lovely sunset view with beautiful birds in the water.

Lovely cottage and large deck on a tidal marsh

My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend in this hidden treasure. It’s in a neighborhood close to downtown Beaufort yet when sitting on the large back deck overlooking the marsh we felt we were far out. The place is nicely furnished, roomy, and super clean. The kitchen area is recently remodeled and is lovely, with great views. We hope to stay here again. Do bring your bug repellent.

Great deck with marsh and heron view!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this house. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the marsh and the birds. The kitchen was fabulous and the overall layout was very nice. We did have a few issues, though. Neither of the beds was comfortable. I realize an effort was made by providing pillow tops, but the beds were still very poor. The TV was another issue. No information was provided on how to use the apps (Netflix, Hulu, NBC, etc). I am used to cable, and don't have my own accounts, and didn't have the codes that were requested to watch TV. If I needed to have my own accounts, this should have been explained in the house description. I brought books, and there were many good books at the house, but I would have enjoyed watching something other than live tv or the few options on Spectrum. The second tv, which used Apple TV, indicated there was no antenna connection. Overall, quite frustrating. The rules provided for the linens seemed quite explicit, so when we didn't have a "linen bag", nor a second tub mat, or kitchen towels, I felt I needed to call about that so I wouldn't be held accountable. Overall cleanliness looked fine, but a very filthy, dusty small fan set on a nightstand, dirty dishes in the dishwasher which must have been run without detergent, kitchen cabinet doors , and a few other dusty areas made it a little unpleasant. But, the rocking chairs, the marsh view, and the beautiful weather allowed us to have a wonderful trip!
