About this property

An Oasis Among the Redwoods

We are running a special this summer - book for the entire month and use it the whole time or as a weekend getaway!

This lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible with luxury linens, a fully stocked kitchen with all the essentials, and magnificent views of the forest.  The living room comfortably seats six where you can enjoy watching a movie or your favorite show on the 70" screen smart TV while staying cozy with the wood-burning fireplace.

The very private and spacious master bedroom is upstairs with an en-suite bath.  The 2 queen bedrooms share a bath on the main floor.  Bring your favorite recipes and enjoy the Traeger bbq/smoker on the deck while listening to the birds, frogs & fauna that abound.

The entire property is 42 acres.  You probably will not see your neighbors, but you might run into on-property host, Russell, working the ranch. We are completely off-the-grid, meaning all electricity is provided by our solar system with help from a backup generator.  The water comes from the well on our property.  We like to respect the gift of the land around us.  We are continuing to develope and enhance the property to offer the best experience possible. All is a work in progress.

The property contains orange, pear, lemon, apple, fig & cherry trees. We always look forward to harvest.  The house deck has an abundance of fresh herbs you are welcome to use.  Currently: Italian parsley, Japanese parsley, cilantro, cress, marjoram, oregano, sage, tarragon, chamomile, scallion, & thyme. Tomato and potato on deck too.

We have a sweet resident horse, Lucy. Mommy Bonnie, Thelma & Louise are her goat friends and a few chickens to round things off.

We installed a "natural" pond.   You might enjoy taking a dip in this beautiful water feature on those hot summer days.  Please note that since this is a natural pond we don't use any chemicals.  Sun protection products leave a residue behind. Use what you desire, but may we suggest zinc oxide & titanium dioxide to be kind to the animals? There are froggies and mosquito fish that live there too.   In the amenities section, we checked YES to a pool since there isn't yet an option for a pond.

Since we purchased this property we are having lots of fun with projects to make this a memorable spot to vacation.  We will periodically update photos here as work is completed.   Now that the pond is finished, we are moving on to landscaping the rest of the area.  It's all a constant work in progress, keeping nature in mind.

IMPORTANT:  The last 3 miles to our property are somewhat uphill,  on an unpaved road.  They just cleared and regraded to road so it is in good condition.  During the rain, it is best if you have an AWD  or 4WD vehicle, but not required.  No low sporty cars have had issues thus far.

We have Wifi available at the house. However, the only cell service that works in this part of the state is Verizon.  We have an Android cell phone available so you can keep in touch with those important people in your life.

Oasis away from city life

My husband, my 26 year old daughters and I vacationed at the Three Points Oasis spending 3 full days relaxing by the pond with Lucy the horse,Bonnie and Clyde the goats and Buck the friendliest dog ever. We took day trips exploring Sea Ranch beaches and towns along the coastal 1. We enjoyed every meal out on back deck and was very impressed with the stocked kitchen including everything you could possibly need and probably don’t have at home. There are more than enough of every type of pot, pan, utensils, etc. plus every spice known to man. The rooms are very comfortable, cozy and clean with extra touches in the bathroom vanities. The team on site are super friendly and helpful as much as required. It was great getting to know all of them and we were treated like family. We would spend a month there if we had the time.

Nature retreat in the mountains

Beautiful property located in the redwoods with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The house is spacious, beautifully furnished and well equipped with everything, from electronics to kitchen supplies. Lots of outdoor sitting areas, pretty pool for swimming, grilling on the deck -- summer! Owners/managers are lovely people who are passionate about land and nature, and who go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. We loved it!

About the host

Three Points Oasis was an idea my husband had been pondering for quite some time. We have always been avid travelers but wanted to stay a bit closer to home. Our friend Russell had been anxious to move out of the city and back to the woods so it was a perfect match to join together as partners.

Why they chose this property

We found this perfect setting that allowed us to build something special to be enjoyed by guests and our families as well. We are blessed to have the best of both worlds - a wonderful home in the city and a magical place in the country. During our travels we stayed in many wonderful short term rentals but wanted to create something different. A relaxing place to enjoy the natural surroundings and get away from the city. Play a bit of a farmer by growing things and having pets. And lastly adding in some more luxury touches to make our guests fell at home and special - things like an amazing water feature, potpouri made from items grown on the property, bathrobes and higher end linens, a host of entertaining items and a fully stocked kitchen for the chef in us all.
