Great location for my needs. The property was quiet and very charming. Roland, the host, was a great communicator and made sure I had everything I needed. I appreciated him leaving the porch light on for me because I was arriving very late at night. Beds were very comfortable and parking was easy. I also appreciated the wine and snacks!
It was just what we were looking for comfortable beds, close to what we did. The only thing was the stairs 3 seniors with knee replacements was a little hard. We had a great stay in Seattle.
Roland’s place was great! Neighborhood is centrally located to all the things, and it makes you feel like a local during your stay. He has the place thoughtfully stocked and it’s very cozy and private. We would stay here again.
This place is really beautifully laid out and furnished and comfortable. The beds were quite comfortable. Our host was very responsive and came over right away to help us with figuring out the TV system.
Roland was great to communicate with. Cute character home in great location with 2 large bedrooms. Close to University of Washington. Welcoming and well stocked. There are some stairs to get up to the apartment.
Fantastic place! Great location in the city, easy parking, very comfy beds and couch. The host, Roland, was very accommodating with our requests and so easy to communicate with and responsive. Would definitely book again.
This is a classic VRBO experience. The house has been elegantly remodeled to host two rental units and the owner. We stayed in the upstairs unit with the master bedroom and guest bedroom. The location is great, we were able to walk to Gas Works park for the 4th of July fireworks and there are several restaurants that are easily walkable. Parking was never a problem by the house, there was always a spot right out front, if not one car up or down the street. The kitchen was small but functional, great for breakfast and lunch, but I would not plan to cook and significant dinner (no oven, one hotplate). The living room area is comfortable and the TV has most streaming services activated as well as access to the host's significant digital movie collection. The beds are comfortable, soft, and have clean white sheets and good pillows. The bathroom was small but just fine for the three of us. The back patio looked nice and had a grill, but we did not use it. The house is a very well remodeled 100 year old property, so expect some creaky floors and cross resident noise, but nothing dramatic or troublesome during our stay. During our visit the main light in the living was not working, but everything else about the property was well maintained. The host (Roland) is extremely responsive and helpful. He was onsite during our stay and offered advice for getting around town, where to eat and was just a generally good guy. For the location, cost and quality of the unit, it was great.
We had a great stay here. The beds were very comfortable and it was such a sweet place! Communication was top notch and could not have wanted more from a quick stay in Seattle as far as location.
Originally from Burbank, California, I grew up on the studio lots of WarnerBros, Disney, and Fox, where stories are conceived and brought to life through film and art. I live my life for stories. A story-teller by profession, I believe all you will ever really have at the end of your life is your story.
Some of my best stories:
Touring with Van Halen for a year; Backpacking through Eastern Europe; Shaking hands with Bill Cinton over coffee; Rubbing shoulders with the South American elite.
Now I live in Seattle, and continue to tell stories through my creative services business.
