This is our 4th year that we have stayed at the Ironwood. It is nice enough that if it’s just two people or a group of people. There is plenty of room for five adults to have our own space but cozy enough to have time together. There was plenty of things for our 2 year old granddaughter to stay occupied with from the toys in the basement to the variety of kid shows available on the tv. Plenty of dishes and cookware available as well. The use of the kayaks and the paddle board are a plus along with a wide variety of life vests available for use. The two docks are enjoyable to use to sit and relax with a cup of coffee or a beverage of your choice on the one and the ability to dock a boat or fish from the other dock. The view from the upstairs living room is breathtaking. The deer that come to the yard every day is also a nice surprise. We look forward to our time away with our kids every year and already have year 5 booked. This place has become a place for us to heal, relax and recharge. Thank you Josh for a wonderful place to get away from it all.
Great stay, as always!! Perfect stay to park and be able to ride or walk into town. We have been staying at this place for 3 years and it's been great everytime!

Thanks so much for continuing to stay at The Ironwood!
It’s our 3rd year here. This year our adult children and granddaughter were able to stay with us for the whole week. We will be returning next year as we are making this our family vacation spot. Very relaxing with plenty of room for us all to unwind and have our own space.
We were very impressed with everything, starting with our host, he responded to any of our questions fast to the beautiful cottage and sandy beach that our grandchildren loved to play and swim. The screened in sun porch was a great bonus, we used it all the time. The lake view from the cottage is amazing! Great lake for water sports and fishing. Will definitely go back!
This property is so cozy, clean and nice! It has everything you could possibly need and the location is perfect. Love, love, love!

About the host
Hosted by Josh Pfohl
My family has been traveling to the Mercer Wisconsin area for 8 years. While snowmobiling is what originally drew us to the area, we look forward to enjoying the many other opportunities that Iron county has to offer, such as the ATV/UTV trails, newly extended Bike path that connects to the Manitowish Waters system, and life on the lake in the summer.
Why they chose this property
We have four children, size and location of the home were key to making sure this was something we could enjoy for years to come. We have privacy, yet we are conveniently located to all the amenities that Mercer has to offer.
What makes this property unique
Lakefront, trailside, secluded yet within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and grocery stores.
