*Little Gasparilla Island is a bridge-less, barrier island off the west coast of Florida in the city of #Placida. This home is accessible ONLY by private boat or boat taxi and the living quarters are accessible ONLY by stairs on the 2nd story with the laundry room downstairs on the bottom deck. 🌴Private 65' dock directly out front on the bay with a 5 minute walk to the beach. We welcome a small number of weekly rentals each year. Canal can get shallow at low tide.

⚠️Persons not listed in your contract as staying at our home (4 Adults maximum) are not permitted to visit or be on our property. Please do not seek to book with us if this is your intention, as it is non-negotiable. We can recommend other neighboring homes that may better fit your needs if you are traveling with others or have friends/family in the area.
LATE checkout at NOON - enjoy your last day! We recommend purchasing travel insurance appropriate for your needs.

🔨Our home renovations are COMPLETE after Hurricane Ian damages. Please be fully aware and acknowledge that the island is not completed nor will many homes be fixed likely for several years to come. Many had to be torn down or are waiting their turn to be torn down. Then if they are rebuilding it takes up to 2 years for a home to be built here. There will be construction going on next door, on our canal, and completely throughout the entire island. It is far better than it was initially during the first 6 months but all of southwest Florida will have construction. Please ensure that you understand none of it is under our control and we can only manage the home we own. It is STILL glorious paradise despite it all!

Located on the "North Canal" of the south end of Little Gasparilla Island, Florida. No contact arrival and departure; AC filters changed frequently.

LGI is a gorgeous tiny island which is only accessible by boat - there are no shops or restaurants...instead you have several miles of private white beaches, world class fishing for tarpon and snook, along with the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets!

🚤~ ​Easy Docking In All Conditions! Docks come in all different shapes and dealing with currents can make it more difficult to come and go with ease. Fortunately, the North Canal is the widest and with our home at the front you'll not stress about getting to your dock and your boat is well-protected during choppy weather. It has enough room for larger boats. Snook and all kinds of fish can also be caught here (depending on the fisherman!).

💻~ Not All Homes Have WiFi. Ours does! While we love the remoteness of the island, we also want to be able to stay for weeks on end with the ability to work from home. Stream YouTubeTV, Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, Apple, Prime etc on our 65" tv.

🌅~ Bay and Beach - Best of Both Worlds and direct deeded access to the beach! In the photos is a visual of the back of our home. See the little sandy path with the red arrows from our home to the ocean? A 5 minute walk straight to the ocean.

Enjoy the days watching dolphin and manatees from the dock, swimming in the ocean, kayaking (2 provided) canoeing (1 provided), stand up paddle boarding (1 provided), hunting for shark teeth in the sand. End them taking a short walk to the most awe-inspiring sunsets and then fishing off your own private dock. Cook dinner on our charcoal grill (starter charcoal and lighters provided - don't lug that over; we will do it for you!)

🛌CAPACITY

- 4 Adults only, no children or teenagers: please keep in mind that we have 2 bedrooms and each has a King sized bed. The third area to sleep is a Queen 'short' sleeper sofa. A tall adult would not be comfortable sleeping there.

- Our bedding is modeled after luxury hotels; we remember not sleeping well when we rented on LGI for 13 years and ensured that our home was not only an amazing location for the views and fishing but a place you'd find rest.

✅ADDITIONAL - VERY IMPORTANT
* We do not allow pets for less than a month long stay and not through this platform.
* We do not rent to primary persons under the age of 30.
* You will be responsible for any damage to our property caused by you or your party during your stay.
* For the protection of our guests and home, there are 4 lower level exterior security cameras. These go unmonitored with the exception of arrival, departure and if we receive complaints of a disturbance. They view first floor areas for laundry/utility room/kayaks etc, both stairs, dock. Your boat will have monitoring protection if there was ever an issue.
* Our home is on stilts (pilings) and accessible by stairs. It is wheelchair inaccessible due to only having stairs to our home entrance.
🚬 NO smoking: if you smoke as part of your daily life and cannot come here without needing to bring any cigarettes, cigars e-cigarettes, or vapes, please do not seek to book. It is part of your contract.
✅*House Rules and Contract will be provided after booking. Copy of driver's licenses, emails, cell phone numbers of anyone anyone 18+ uploaded onto VRBO inbox within 24 hours. Contract to be e-signed by anyone 18+ within 24 hours after sending from owner.”

Sunrise Bay was Delightful
We love LGI. It is paradise to us. Sunrise Bay was furnished well with such classy touches. We could definitely relax. The owners were accommodating and clear with communication. We adored their home and their attention to detail. We also loved that we could park our boat right out front of the house.

This place gets better every time!
This is our second time staying at Sunrise Bay for family vacation and it gets better every time. The owner is an amazing host, always easy to get in touch with, and happy to help! The house is so clean and exactly how it is described, so you know what to expect. Our kids are 5 and 9 and the house is very suitable for the ages (as far as safety, location, etc). The location is just 2 minutes from a great sandbar, and the docks are perfectly set up for a boat, dock fishing, etc. we will be back again!

We had an amazing trip and Korrie was amazing from get go! We never questioned anything and she was great to work with. Place was exceptionally stocked with anything we could have needed and then some. We will for sure be back!

This was a great vacation! Perfect location on the island for boaters. Loved the private dock. Watched tons of dolphins and manatees from the screened porch. House was stocked and very clean. Would rent again!

Incredible 3 Weeks!!
Property is beautifully situated on canal so that your boat is a front door while still having a short walk to beach. Best of both worlds. House is clean, updated, beautifully decorated and stocked with all essentials. Korrie was a super host in communicating prior to our arrival and keeping in touch to ensure everything was top notch. Sad to have to leave but countdown is on till next year.

We hope that you've enjoyed looking over the photos and reviewing information about our beautiful island home. We began visiting Little Gasparilla in 2007 when invited by our friends. It was instant love and a desire to return consistently throughout each year. It became a part of our family story as our children were just 6 and 8. They are grown now and we love continuing to make memories here as we now have a son-in-law who loves it just as much (especially the fishing!). In the summer of 2020 a very special home became available for purchase for the first time since it had been built in 1974. It had been owned by multi generations and we had waited and looked for many years for the perfect spot to open up. "The North Canal on the North Side at the Front" was perfection. We renovated it right away and then again completely after Hurricane Ian in September 2022. We were truly thrilled beyond words to have purchased it and are so thankful for the blessing. It is...paradise. Our hope for you is that our home and the island are woven into your family story as well.
