We came up from north Florida for 4 nights for the AKC nationals. This place was absolutely beautiful, roomy (we had 5 adults and had our own areas) and extremely private. We try to stay away from hotels when traveling with the dogs to have a safe place and this was a great place for just that and was literally 10 minutes from where we spent our days at. The hosts also respond extremely quickly when we had questions prior to check in. We will definitely stay here again!!
Myself and a couple friends came to the area on our motorcycles. We were looking for somewhere quiet, outside of town, and with room to spread out inside and out. Also with easy access to places to ride out on the motorcycles each day. This place was exactly what we were looking for. Enjoyed the outdoor area, used the grill every evening, the house was clean and well maintained, and all aspects of the house were beyond perfect for us. Have recommended this house to others and we hope to stay again!
Paul was a great host and was very attentive and quick to reply! Beau’s retreat was such a relaxing and beautiful property and cabin. We had to evacuate our home in Asheville and came here for several weeks and it was very relaxing and peaceful!
Very private location. Unfortunately, wedding events prevented enough time to relax and thoroughly enjoy this gem, but the time we did spend there was wonderful.
I cannot recommend this property enough! We stayed at this property in Sept of 2024 after Helene came through our area. The owners went out of their way to get this property ready for us to stay in and we are forever grateful! This house is secluded and quiet but close to everything. It was perfect for our family and perfect for a family with small kids because I did not have to worry about my toddler falling down a flight of stairs. My dog really loved it also! Thank you guys again!
If you are looking for a secluded log cabin in the woods, this is the place for you! We enjoyed our quiet and peaceful surroundings. The cabin is so cozy and comfortable. We felt like we were in a story book.
My boyfriend and I rented this place to stay with our dogs. It was an amazing time! The house was very clean with everything you need for your stay. The property is a very big plus and you are very secluded as well.
Wonderful property for a true getaway feeling. Very relaxing and great for dogs to play, families to spend quality time together, and just enjoy the fresh air. House was super functional, wonderfully appointed, great outdoor space, and very easy checkout process.
Beau’s retreat was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. From the front porch swing to the trails around the property, and the fire pit in the backyard, there was always something to do with family. The host was great and thought of literally everything. Great place to unplug, and reset.

Depends on the weather
Nice private location. Enjoyed watching the deer in the yard until the weather got cold. However, being out in the woods brought flies, stink bugs and mouse droppings. Kitchen supplies were fair, towels also.Probably would enjoy the outdoors location more in the spring, summer or fall!
Due to an unexpected medical emergency while traveling we needed a place for family members to stay when driving here from out of state to visit a loved one. It proved ideal as we managed to sleep 9 people and two small dogs at one point. It is a beautiful cabin nestled in a panel and secluded woods only 25 minutes from the hospital. Would definitely stay here again (hopefully under better circumstances)!!
The pictures didn’t do this place justice. Lots of room! Beautiful property.
About 5 minutes from the house is a place that sells Porta-Pit chicken. It’s only open Wednesday and Friday until 7pm for take out! It’s a must for anyone staying
Best vacation rental I have ever experienced… and I have experienced my share.
Beautiful log cabin, in the midst of the prettiest woods you’d ever want to see. Comfortable, clean, spacious… There was not one thing that I wanted or needed that was not provided. Exceptional hosts! Communication was quick and thorough. The best of the best is Beau’s Retreat.
Six stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Perfect location if you are anywhere near Statesville NC. Welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived and entered the cabin. It is a modern feel but also has rustic charm. My husband and our GSD arrived to a well kept outdoor seating and fire pit, with a gazebo and of course the golf cart for adventures.
The indoors had all you need to complete you stay (except your main course of food etc). Spices, coffee, creamers, paper towels and all else needed to cook and serve were on site. It was great to go to the store and arrive back to cook our family meals. Including the large outdoor grill.
They have thought of everything including the propane for the grill and towels for showering and washer and dryer on site if needed. The last entire weekend was filled with joy for having finally seen our family- but also because the cabin was the perfect setting for our grandchildren and our son and daughter in-law. They all felt at home and were so comfortable.
I could write a dozen more descriptions regarding why this was perfect. But I suggest someone booking and finding their own reasons. ☺️Oh lastly- our Behringer (GSD) is a working dog- never had a dull moment and he also had his fun filled adventures! Highly recommend coming with your fur baby!
My niece and her 4 children were trying to wait out Clayton Homes in getting there new home ready for occupancy. With school starting, 4 children and 1 adult living in an RV was just too much. My sister and I arranged for this home for a month to help them be able to focus on school. It was great and timing was perfect! They are now in their new home.
Nice house in the country for a relaxing weekend. The beds were comfortable and outdoor space was nice. There was a slight fragrance from nearby farms letting you know horses were close. Ha! There is about a mile dirt driveway you need to go down in order to get to the property. Also, the Internet service is more like a hotspot so made it difficult for me to work but I took it as a sign to enjoy my surroundings.
We stayed at the location while visiting family. We were able to bring our dogs as well and they loved taking a romp in the pasture. The home is spacious, comfortable and secluded. You will feel as though you are taking a vacation in the mountains. We loved it!
Communication was stellar and we highly recommend this rental. We will look forward to staying here again when we come out to visit.
