Mermaid's Hideaway! Just steps to the ocean!

70 steps to the BEACH! Our guests love how close we are to the beach! The location is prime and just a short walk to local dining and attractions. Open design, perfect for enjoying with the whole family! Four bedrooms are as follows: TWO KING bedrooms and TWO bunk rooms. Great for sharing! The TWO Bunk Rooms best for kids! Part of a two-unit home, this property is the whole upper-level, located above a separate two-bedroom beach cottage.

Located on the beach side of Dover Court in South Mission, just south of Belmont Park and the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster.
There are TWO OUTDOOR AREAS: ONE BALCONY DECK OFF THE LIVING ROOM WITH A WHITE WATER VIEW AND ONE ROOFTOP DECK WITH AN OCEAN VIEW! Note that this property does not share the ground-level patio, and instead has a balcony as well as a private rooftop deck. Spend your mornings and evenings on the rooftop complete with BBQ, sitting area, and ocean view! Enjoy grilling and dining while just steps away from the deep blue sea, the boardwalk, sandy beach, and surf. The location is ideal, making this property convenient to beach activities and all the other sights you don’t want to miss while in San Diego! Check the map to see for yourself!

Two king bedrooms, two kid bedrooms, as well as two sofa sleepers. Plenty of sleeping space to choose from.

* We love our furry family, but please leave your pets at home. We have a strict no pet-policy to keep our homes clean and allergy-free for all guests!

* Markets and restaurants are all within a 2 to 3-block walk.

* Lots of bike, kayak, surfboard, and sailboat rentals all nearby.

* Plenty of boogie boards and sand toys available at the property for guest use.

* We have a guest laundry room with multiple washers and dryers that will help you pack lightly. Don’t forget your beach towels!

* Garage parking! Private reserved two-car garage that fits a large SUV with the big garage door open, but we advise to bring/rent an average or smaller car for easier parking at the beach, if you can! I park my full size Escalade SUV by backing into the garage and leaving the door open. It is a challenge but, worth the effort.

Our group loved our stay!! The location is unbeatable, and we enjoyed spending time on the roof. Kitchen and living spaces are perfect for a group! Bunk rooms are on the smaller side but would work great for a family with younger children. Overall, would definitely book again!

Loved our stay. People looking to rent this house should be aware that the 2 non-king bed rooms are very small. Best suited to small children. We brought children but they are over 6ft. Otherwise we truly enjoyed our stay!

My family had a wonderful stay at the beach house! The location is just perfect, close enough to Belmont Park for convenience but far enough away to enjoy quiet nights on the upper deck. Plenty of beds, towels and dishes for our core party of 12. Highly recommend!!

This property is in an ideal location- just steps to the beach! The roof patio is amazing with a great view of the sunset and ocean. The house itself is nice- the kitchen and living room have been updated and are beautiful. The rest of the house is nice- needs a little bit of TLC in a couple of areas and it got a little warm in the bunk rooms at night. However, you just can’t beat the location. We love staying on Mission Beach. There were plenty of chairs, boogie boards, sand toys for the kids!

The house was absolutely beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! My kids took full advantage of the beach and we took full advantage of the rooftop deck. We had a wonderful time and had everything we needed to enjoy our time there.

The place was roomy and offered two bunk bed rooms for kids. I love the open living area and windows to see the ocean. I was not aware that there was no AC but the fans and windows open it was cool enough. The garage parking was very skinny but we were able to fit our Chevy Traverse and our friend fit the Honda Odyssey in there as well. We all loved how close it was to the beach. It was also nice that they had washers and dryers available. I was happy they provided beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, mats, and beach toys. Perfect area within 70 steps to get to the beach.

Host is amazing! She bends over back to accommodate all her guests. Seriously best host ever! We met the cleaning crew since Sharon (host) was trying to let us check in early. The crew was SOOOO nice! The place was very clean. Location is perfect. The only negative would be the bathrooms could be a little more updated and maybe some fresh paint. Nothing major the pros are far more than cons. I would absolutely rent here again!

Great experience, house was beautiful and clean and just a few steps away from the beach. It fit every body perfectly. The only thing I would say it would need but is not a big deal is more patio space. It only had a small roof top with a table. The lower front patio(yard)belong to another portion of the house that get rented separately. And since there were other guests down stairs I constantly had to tell the kids not not be running , so we would not bother them. Other then that it was a perfect experience

The host worked quickly to remedy an initially rough start, but after that, everything was great. I was impressed by all the kitchen supplies, including a blender and waffle iron! Plenty of plates, utensils, and cookware for our large group. Plenty of linens, and 2 washers/driers available to use. Top deck with a grill was a good space, especially when the weather cooperated. The walk to the beach was fast and easy, and the walk to local eateries was easy as well. Good sized grocery store was a short drive.

Family get-away

Booked for a quick getaway for the family. Place was stocked and was pretty much the standard for the area. We've stayed in 10 or so short term rentals along the southern CA coast, we enjoyed this one as much as any of the others.
