The place: Cleanse your palate…and your mind. The Farmstead at Winescape is open, timeless, and authentic. It feels like you're a million miles away....but with the convenience of being able to do a quick 5-minute run to Trader Joes.
The experience: Located at a one of Spokane’s best wineries, you will see and hear winery guests in the distance during open hours...try and give them a kind glance if you're walking about (sshhh…they're jealous). Once the winery closes up, the farmstead site is all yours. Typically the winery is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday’s 2-7pm.
The scoop: South Hill (Glenrose) location, 7 miles from downtown Spokane. Full size farm kitchen, great heating and AC, open floor plan. Activities: hiking (Dishman Hills Conservancy trailhead is <1 mile away), biking, and wine-induced laughter.
The caveats: This is a real 100-year-old farmstead....it creaks accordingly. No garage, garbage disposal, or cable (but there is a new smart TV). The assets: 8 acres, views that go on forever, nature-themed decor, farm-fenced yard, redwood deck with pergola, an orchard,….plus visits from your wild neighbors (deer, hawks, geese, and on rare occasions...a moose). Space to breathe. Plus, a bottle of the good stuff, compliments of your hosts.
