About this property
The Farmstead at Winescape
The place: Cleanse your palate…and your mind. The Farmstead at Winescape is open, timeless, and authentic. It feels like you're a million miles away....but with the convenience of being able to do a quick 5-minute run to Trader Joes.
The experience: Located at a one of Spokane’s best wineries, you may see and hear winery guests in the distance during open hours...try and give them a kind glance if you're walking about (sshhh…they're jealous). Once the winery closes up, the farmstead site is all yours. Typically the winery is open Thursday thru Sunday’s 2-7pm.
What it feels like: The farmstead reminds some people of their experiences growing up and being connected with nature. It doesn’t feel like an hotel or someone else’s house (at all). It feels a bit like a small boat anchored in a field of grass. Some guests appreciate the opportunity to get out all the pots/pans and cook in a pretty authentic farm kitchen. Still others pick up local bread, cheese and more, then spend the entire reconnecting with themselves on the West patio. And yes, a few guests venture down to the winery, knowing that everyone else on the property has to head home at 7pm, and they’ll be the only ones with the place to themselves.
The scoop: South Hill (Glenrose) location, 7 miles from downtown Spokane. Full size farm kitchen, great heating and AC, open floor plan. Activities: hiking (Dishman Hills Conservancy trailhead is <1 mile away), biking, and wine-induced laughter.
The caveats, and yes, this isn’t for everybody: This is a real and boxy 100-year-old farmstead....it creaks accordingly. No garage, garbage disposal, or cable (but there is a new smart TV). It’s at a working winery, during the day you may see someone on a forklift down below or barrels being filled. On thursday-sunday afternoons some guests may sit in a pergola area approximately 80 feet from the home. The assets: 8 acres, views that go on forever, nature-themed decor, farm-fenced yard, redwood deck with pergola, an orchard,….plus visits from your wild neighbors (deer, hawks, geese, etc. Coyotes yelping during certain times of the year). Space to breathe. Plus, a bottle of the cleanly crafted and terroir driven wine, made on site and compliments of your hosts.

A perfect homey stay for our time in Spokane. Our pups loved the fenced yard and we loved the adjacent winery! Great communication and listing is spot on.
Great location and wonderful views. It's close to everything you would need while maintaining a country feel. Host was very responsive and easy to work with.
Absolutely loved this little home. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck with our coffee or meals. The location next to the winery was great and i highly recommend checking it out!
This is the second time we’ve stayed and we love it! So quiet and peaceful, the deck is amazing and location is perfect. The house is clean, cozy, and very comfortable. We’ll be back!
The Farmhouse was exactly as described and what we hoped. The setting is lovely and the house, although old, was well kept up and fun to stay in! Sitting out on deck at night was wonderful!
We loved everything about our stay! The cottage is well-appointed, cozy and very comfortable. Having our own fenced yard for the dog was a wonderful bonus. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck taking in the views - what a peaceful, beautiful place to stay. Hope to be back again soon!
This was a great place for a long weekend. The location was perfect. We enjoyed the deck in the evenings for the beautiful sunsets. The home had everything we need and was very comfortable and clean. We will definitely be back!
Just lovely. Great location close to stores, but far enough out to relax. We liked ALL the wines. Multiple deer are on the property and we enjoyed deer watching. The bed was comfy and the house had a nice layout. Would definitely consider returning if we are back in the area.
We loved the house and the effort to keep some of the quaint historical feel with modern comfortsVery charming and cozy. We loved the little orchard, the lavender and the wildlife. The moon Friday night was gorgeous. We truly enjoyed the wines and the Just the Wurst food truck was so yummy! You have a beautiful location and it was the perfect vibe for our weekend! I hope to stay again.
The lovely farmstead is the best of both country and city vacations. Close to city amenities with a country vibe complete with wildlife. Host is eager to make your stay special and it will be!
This was our second time staying at this beautiful home. We absolutely love it. It is more comfortable than our own home. The views are incredible, and the hosts are so kind. Can't wait to stay again soon!

It is always a pleasure to have you here Ty. The deer like seeing you too.
My daughter, Mom (92) and myself had a lovely time at this lovely little cabin convenient to everything and everyplace we needed to go.Very quiet.....felt secluded, even though it really wasn't.Lovely views of the shock-yellow canola blooming in the fields while we were lucky enough to be there.Highly recommended, and I've stayed ALOT of places I wouldn't recommend.!!!!
Farmstead was described as rustic but that is its charm. It feels like from another era without sacrificing any of the comforts of home. The location is very quiet and peaceful in a bucolic neighborhood, positioned with unobstructed sunset views from the back deck and large picture window. We were thrilled that our large dog was welcomed so freely as frequently there are low weight limits at many properties. The fenced-in yard was great for our dog to find shade from a tree or the deck, as well as for watering himself. Farmstead is so relaxing that we spent a lot of time there rather than having it only as a place to lay our heads at night. We only used the bottom floor with its two bedrooms, but the top floor allows for a larger family or group to spread out. Our hosts provided us with a bottle of their excellent wine which was a great way to relax following the long drive from the coast. As per our usual habit we brought a few bottles from home with us for the stay, but found their wines to be exceptionally good in both taste and value, such that we brought all the packed wine back home along with several bottles of Winescape beyond what was consumed during the stay. There was a note about winery guests being semi-nearby in an outdoor seating area, but we found this was never an issue or even a concern. We were so fortunate to have found this place and enthusiastically recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Spokane area.
