Wonderful stay at Les Jardins de l'Ermitage

We had a lovely two weeks in the apartment. Sandrine welcomed us and gave us all the details of the apartment, which was comfortable and very clean. The location is perfect with only a 6 minute walk from a small supermarket, buses into the centre of Antibes, and two minutes from the wonderful Salis beach.

Positives. It was clean and comfortable. Good location near beach. Large lounge, 2 balconies overlooking gardens. Shutters and ceiling fans were good as no A/C. The bathrooms are very dated but plenty of hot water. Kitchen small, clean but very well equipped. Bathroom light didn’t work but was fixed promptly when notified. Negatives. No accessible wardrobe in one of the bedrooms. Problematic access. We had informed that we would arrive between 4 and 4.45pm. We phoned housekeeper who lives on site when we arrived at the gate at 4.25pm as instructed. Housekeeper does not speak English so helpful cab driver spoke to her and was told she was delayed in traffic and would be there in 1/2 an hour. She actually arrived 55 mins later! We are elderly and had to stand in hot sun for nearly 1 hour with our cases after a long journey. When we complained to the owner told us we needed to be flexible as they were not professionals. We also were shocked by a young man using a key to enter our apartment. He turned out to be harmless and a relative of the owner who had thought the apartment was empty. Apologies were made not by the owner but by the young man’s mother who must have been given my email address by the owner! If access had been smooth we would have been happy to give a higher score. Hopefully others may not encounter our problems.

Wonderful apartment!

Loved our two-week stay in this wonderful apartment in a quiet area within a few minutes walk to the beach. The view from the two balconies was so charming and relaxing, as the building is surrounded by gardens and other villas/houses with gardens. It was great to have all the mod cons and the ceiling fans were much appreciated during our stay as we had a heatwave. We also liked having two bathrooms. Communication with the owner was excellent and also with the housekeeper for checking in/out! There were two sets of keys available which made things a lot easier. We would love to return one day, thanks for a truly excellent stay!

Appartement très agréable, bien localisé, bien entretenu. Excellent contact aussi bien avec la propriétaire que avec sa gestionnaire Françoise. C’est notre deuxième séjour à cette adresse. Je recommande vivement.

Herbst in Antibes

Wir haben zu Viert eine sehr angenehme Woche in dieser schönen Wohnung verbracht. Die Wohnung ist geräumig, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, gepflegt und liegt in einer schönen ruhigen Umgebung, zu Fuß von der historischen Altstadt, den Sehenswürdigkeiten (Picasso Museum), der Markthalle, den Geschäften und Lokalen 15 Minuten entfernt. Von großem Vorteil ist auch der Parkplatz am Grundstück. Wir haben die Zeit in Antibes und Umgebung sehr genossen. Herzlichen Dank an die Eigentümerin.
