Light and bright defines the newly renovated cabin boasting spectacular wood throughout and freshly decorated rooms. Radiant heated marble tiles offer cozy warmth during cooler moments as guests gather in the large 20 x 20' kitchen. There is a downstairs queen bedroom with Spring 2025 upgrades including cathedral ceiling an additional shower and toilet area along with enhanced lake views! There is also another first floor full bath with a Jacuzzi tub and a shower too. The second floor has another queen room, and a third room with two twin beds; these share a conveniently located half bath. The house has a screened in porch and various spots both inside and out to watch the prominent wildlife. Bird lovers will be allured by an incredible sanctuary where ducks, blue herons, geese, songbirds and even an occasional bald eagle an be spotted! Outdoor activities such as running/biking, fishing/boating are an easy walk away. The abutting lake does grow weeds seasonally, especially in the summer months, which will limit water activities. Host was very responsive. And when it snowed, they coordinated somebody to come and snowblow the driveway (twice!). Place is very quiet, spacious. Directions for how to use the home was very straightforward! (thermostats, jacuzzi)Great experience!

This house is immaculate. Loved the fire pit and the jacuzzi. Very comfortable house. We spent quite a bit of time relaxing on the deck of the living room. We did get a bit lost getting there, but the caretaker, Jill, was readily available and not only helped us with directions, but gave us suggestions on where to go for groceries, etc. Very friendly and helpful woman.

Quiet lakeside retreat

We love this comfortable cottage and quiet location, perfect for a relaxing vacation spent bird watching, biking the nearby rail trail, and hiking with our dog. This was our fourth time staying here-- impressed with the beautiful updates to the master bedroom, now a suite with its own bathroom! We'll be coming back again!

Lovely home next to lake. Many hiking/lake spots within a reasonable drive. Lovely small waterfall along the driveway. Very close to rail trail. Walk to fishing spot as well as good fishing in nearby lakes. As noted in the property description,on/in the lake activities during the summer months are limited by plant growth in the lake. Spent sometime watching the birds on the lake. Dog friendly. Would stay here again.

Lakeside getaway

We love this comfortable and well equipped cottage -- close to the Ashuwillticook bike path, great kitchen space, wonderful balcony and screened porch. We're repeat visitors and will return again!

Relaxing lakeside getaway

We loved our stay at this cute, comfortable house -- drinking coffee on the deck and watching the birds, biking and dog walking on the nearby Ashuwillticook trail, relaxing on the screened porch in the afternoon. Very nice kitchen and bath, with everything you could need for a relaxing getaway!

Perfect Trip!

This lake house was exactly what we hoped for in an anniversary weekend trip. The wildlife, peacefulness, hot tub, and bonfire were all perfect. Jill was so quick to respond and seemed to really care about the quality of our time at her home. We’d love to come again!

Private lakeside cottage

This was our favorite rental so far. We loved to privacy, the location on the water, and the closeness to the walking trail. The cottage was very comfortable and there was plenty of space for all 6 of us. We had an enjoyable trip and the kids absolutely loved playing there. It was great to have direct contact with the homeowners throughout the visit.

Great spot for a few day stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the lake house. House was cute and location was great for what we were there for , less then 15 minutes from skiing. There’s a target less then two miles away and a good bar/ restaurant also two miles away. Good for a burger or a sandwich. Communication with the property owner was outstanding, she was quick to answer any questions we had and to let us know she was there if we needed anything ! We look forward to coming back again.

Great time

Very clean, comfortable and secluded without being isolated. A big portion of the backyard was literally underwater due to the unusual amount of rain. But the water was clean and the kids and the dog had a blast playing in it!

Great Spot

This was a great spot, it felt like we were on our own private island! Cabin is on the small side, but has everything you need with spectacular lake views. My kids are in college in Mass and NY, so it was better to rent the house and meet there for Thanksgiving, we had a wonderful time. Antiquing and other activities in the area. Also great hiking, but a little too cold on our trip. We did miss having a dishwasher

The house was very comfortable for our family of four. Very peaceful location perfect for relaxing out on the deck. The kitchen could use additional glassware and a new coffee maker. Otherwise the house is well equipped.

Amazing!

This cottage is very clean, incredibly cozy and has plenty of space to enjoy a weekend without ever leaving. The rail trail is in walking distance and a quick walk results in phenomenal views. The kitchen is full of maps of other area hikes, as well. The owners were quick to respond when we noted we'd arrived and seemed genuinely interested in our happiness. We hope to come back in the summer and head out on the lake! The only negative thing about this place is that we had to leave!

Serene and Tranquil

The property is lovely and private. Kitchen has all you need ( except a dish washer) . The grill area has beautiful view of the pond. Only negative was that the dryer was stuffed with damp linens, no towels in the bathroom . The ones we found were very old and the kitchen garbage had not been taken out.

Relaxation in the Berkshires

The recently renovated home has all modern and updated amenities but retains the rustic feel of a Berkshires experience. The Lanesboro property is perfect for relaxation and unwinding in the Berkshires. It is a quiet get away yet very accessible to all of the fun and recreation of the Berkshires. We enjoyed a pontoon rental, outdoor summer adventures at Jiminy Peak, hiked Mount Greylock, and enjoyed the quiet and friendly energy of the restaurants and people of Adams, MA. This is a perfect getaway for a weekend, week, or even more if you want to enjoy quiet time, fishing, or just reading a great book. Renters should note that although it is a waterfront property, there is no direct access for canoes or kayaks from the home itself.

Just what we needed- Serenity

Book this house in any and all seasons. Living in Brooklyn and working in Manhattan may be the dream for many, but it's hard living. We needed some peace and quiet. We chose to stay here and never regretted the decision. The house is an absolute dream. It has mid century charm as well as all of the modern conveniences and luxuries. Heated marble floors, a 2 person spa tub, large 4k TV and more. The front, screened, porch has 4 comfortable seats and reading light. Two of the seats are slide/rockers and the others are large Adirondack chairs. I would recommend you bring a couple camping fold chairs with you. The lake offers beautiful views of wildlife and provides a great deal of privacy. While the water levels were too low to kayak in the section behind the house this week, the other section is ideal. In other seasons or different years you will likely be able to put the kayak or canoe in the water just behind the deck. Perhaps one day they will install a small dock/walkway to aid in this. Even without I would recommend this to anyone looking for a large home and peace. The location is simple amazing for any guests, regardless of their agenda. We were there for leaf peeping(peak week!) and to re-live a trip we took 20 years earlier as teenagers. Activities nearby: The lake house is minutes from Jiminy Peak ski resort(all seasons activities) other ski options Tanglewood music venue(world class) Mount Greylock and dozens of other hikes for all abilities Fishing Biking Hunting Antiques Excellent live theater Very good food Close to Bennington VT (or drive a little more for Brattleboro. It's worth it!) Lenox, Great Barrington, Williamstown and more destinations to visit for Berkshire charm. Outlet shopping at Lee Target is 5 mins away for food or other needs at the house. The kitchen in the house is outstanding! I can go on and on about the wonderful home David and his wife have created. It is warm, inviting and fills you with a sense of peace. Ending each day there will create memories you will cherish for years. Note: if you are not an outdoors person, prepare yourself. This isn't a suburban lifestyle. The home is modern and clean but you are IN nature. You will see animals and insects on your journey. Live with nature, don't fight it. **Also be mindful that a very sweet cat lives in the nearby home and sometimes can be seen near the Rambling stream or waterfall that runs parallel to the driveway. Please drive slow to protect our friend
