We are steps from BOTH private beach access and private marsh boardwalk and pier where you can launch a boat or kayak, fish, crab, or enjoy the abundant wildlife and stunning marsh views. Front porch and upstairs queen bedroom have ocean views! Listen to the waves crash from home while relaxing on the deck, or use the private beach access and enjoy breathtaking sunsets. Our beach is wide with soft sand, perfect for long strolls or building sand castles.

Our property is appropriate for families with children, and our quiet, peaceful location allows for safe bike riding, scooters, and other outdoor activities. We have a fully stocked kitchen, game closet, smart TVs in the living room and every bedroom, fiber internet, even a remote work station!

We are located on a short, dead end street with the beach on one side and the marsh on the other! After a long day of sun and sand on the beach, walk out to the star deck on the boardwalk with a late night snack, the star-gazing can't be missed.

The entire home has been updated with new and/or quality furnishings and bedding. House is also super family friendly with lots of baby and kid gear (1 baby gate, 2 booster chairs, 2 pack and plays, and a baby monitor). Well stocked game and puzzle closet, plus lots of books for every age! We have fiber internet, smart TVs in every bedroom and living room, HDMI cords plugged in and ready for your devices, and USB charging spots throughout the home. We have a fully stocked kitchen with new appliances, and the entire inventory will be sent upon booking!

We have a beach wagon, rolling cooler, toys, beach chairs, and several beach tents and umbrellas. Outdoor shower, picnic table, and propane gas grill.

Dogs allowed and welcomed - we have an XL crate here if you need one and 2 dog beds (don’t have to crate them but if you do it’s nice not to lug it with you!).

Our home is located on the west end of Holden Beach, which is very quiet and private. Mostly retired homeowners on our street! Our home is well suited to a quiet, peaceful, relaxing vacation for families!

Comfort is essential to a relaxing stay, which is why we use Brooklinen 100% cotton sheets and Turkish Cotton towels from Marriott.

Our home is equipped with 2 king bed master suites. The first bedroom is a large king master suite on main floor with sitting area, balcony, and attached bath w/ large walk-in shower. This bedroom suite is located at the end of a long hall with a separate door, similar to a MIL suite. There is a sleep number mattress with cooling memory foam topper and thick quilted mattress pad.

The second floor has another master suite at the top of the stairs with a brand new cal king hybrid mattress and thick quilted topper. The attached bath has a tub/shower combination.

Our 3rd bedroom has a luxury queen bed with a quilted topper, and space to set up a twin mattress and frame if needed.

The 4th bedroom features a double bunk bed with trundle, and sleeps 5! There is a bathroom in the hallway between bedroom 3 and 4 with a tub and shower combo.

The upstairs landing has an adorable reading nook full of books, games and toys for all ages. There are 2 DVD players in the house as well, in case you need a break from streaming and want to rent a movie!

We came for a memorial for a friend and needed a place we could bring our two dogs. This was a wonderful place to stay with a great beach decor and beautiful house. We would stay here again any day.

This home was just as described. It was only a short walk to the beach, with beach access at the end of the street. The owners thought of everything you could need for a vacation, which mean there was not much else you needed to pack for the trip. Look forward to staying here again.

Amazing Property!

Our experience at Twilight By The Sea was fantastic! The owner was easy to get in touch with. They provided so many extras and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible! The added touches and things they provide are just unbelievable! It's by far the nicest pet friendly place we've ever stayed and were so happy to be able to bring our dogs with us. We have already highly recommended it to many other people and will definitely be coming to stay again!

Family spring break stay

This home is beautiful and has everything you need. Beds are comfortable, porch is relaxing, and kitchen is ready to use. There is plenty of space for two families to stay comfortably, and your dog will love it too! Quick walk to the ocean and the pier. Peaceful Luxury

We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful home. It was clean, beautifully decorated, well-stocked, and in the perfect location. Our family walked to the beach each evening to watch the beautiful sunsets, and we made several treks into the marshlands to observe the wildlife. The weather was gorgeous, and we fished in the surf as well as in the inland waterway. We cooked a lot in the kitchen, and we enjoyed playing games. Our dogs had a lovely time as well. The owner is super nice and very accommodating. We loved staying here so much!

Great Home, Great Hosts!

This home was just what we were looking for! More than enough space for the family to spread out comfortably, super clean, and really welcoming of our two large dogs! The Carters sent us a nice welcome packet with information on the property shortly before our arrival. Perfect Spring Break

We had an excellent experience renting Twilight by the Sea for our family spring break trip. We had the grandparents with us, who appreciated the main floor bedroom. My husband and I had the upstairs king bedroom, and it was nice to have our kids with us in the other bedrooms upstairs. We all felt we had our own space and could come together in the comfortable living and kitchen spaces. The house felt clean and fresh and the beds truly were very comfortable. The home was definitely as pictured. We really appreciated the pack and play and baby monitor so that we didn’t have to bring ours from home for our toddler. The toy/game closet was a nice touch, there was a great selection of kids books for bedtime stories, and lots of dog toys too! The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking and the gas grill was in good condition. The storage space below the house had great beach gear all in good condition and we enjoyed taking the bikes out several times. The street is so peaceful and beach access is so close, right at the end of the street. A dining table and umbrella on the deck might be a nice addition, as we enjoyed sitting out there and hearing the ocean. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay and would love to book again in the future!

Beautiful house with incredible location

We loved staying at Kelly’s home! The pictures were 100% accurate - it really is that beautiful. The location can’t be beat - easy access to the beach and a wonderful private boardwalk over the marsh out to the inter coastal waterway. We enjoyed several gorgeous sunsets out there! Amenities at the house were great and we loved being able to take our golden retriever. He loved it as much as we did. We will definitely be back!

Family retreat

Kelly’s property is lovely, with modern seaside furnishings and decor, and well appointed! She has included many convenient features, such as access to the storage closets, a dog crate and furniture protectors, a brilliant laundry room. We were surprised by welcome beverages and a holiday treat for the girls; and how lovely the marsh boardwalk was - we enjoyed birdwatching by the intracoastal waterway daily in addition to our beach time!

Perfect Holden Beach vacation spot

I almost don’t want to review b/c By the Sea is SUCH a find! Kelly was great to work with, the house’s location and amenities were perfect for us. We were two couples, used 3 of the 4 bedrooms . Fantastic house, great location

My family and I had a great time at Twilight By The Sea, I can't say enough good things. The amenities were perfect for our 2 families traveling together, they had 2 of everything needed for our youngest kids. We went fishing and crabbing from the private dock and watched the sunsets - which are incredible here. I appreciated the upgraded TVs and comfortable beds, and while it did rain one day we were able to watch movies and play one of the many board games. Kelly and Ben were wonderful hosts, and in touch throughout to make sure we had everything we needed. The street is quiet and private, and the beach access is very close. This was our first time staying somewhere with private beach access, which really cut down on traffic and made it feel like our own private beach most days! We loved the thoughtful touches for our dog as well, who is elderly and this may have been his last trip. This is a special house. We would visit again in a heartbeat.

Amazing stay, we will be back!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The property is immaculate with beautiful, updated decor and super close to the beach. We were greeted with a lovely welcome basket a=of snacks and goodies, which was much appreciated after a long drive. The beds are comfortable, and we were thrilled to have 2 kings with one being in on a main floor ensuite. Our kids loved the bunk bed room, and we all enjoyed the smart Tvs and huge supply of board games, some of which we will be buying for back home! My husband and kids were able to try kayaking for the first time, so the private marsh boardwalk to the ICW is a huge plus and SO pretty. We saw lots of wildlife which the kids loved. Owner is super responsive to any and all questions, its clear they put a lot of thought into the rental because it we wanted for nothing. They even had extra toothbrushes, just to illustrate the level of detail. The location on the island and private beach access meant that we were often the only ones on the beach, it really felt like our own beach many times...I've never experienced that before and it was so nice. We will absolutely be back and are already looking into dates for next year!

We had the perfect week and this is an excellent house. It’s super clean, bright and fully stocked. The furniture and beds are very comfortable. Not your typical beach rental. The kid’s bunk room is super cute and the playroom was a lot of fun. The other bedrooms are roomy and private. The beach is a short walk with easy access. The boardwalk access offers beautiful, peaceful sunsets. Owner is very nice and responsive. Can’t say enough good things! We will be back!

My husband and I have always dreamed of owning beach property and sharing it with guests! We enjoy home renovation, and spent 3 months during Covid designing and remodeling the home by ourselves, with help from our 2 daughters and a puppy named Sullivan!

Why they chose this property

We visited many beaches looking for the perfect spot. I brought my daughters to Holden one late summer evening and stepped out onto the beach near our home...it was stunning! The sunsets are unbelievable every evening, and twilight is simply magical. Walking just steps to view dolphins playing in the ICW is also pretty spectacular!

What makes this property unique

Private beach access and private ICW access at either end of a short block makes our property special! In addition, we carefully curated the inside to reflect beachy character with abundant shiplap and bead board alongside soothing, calming colors.
