Grandparent duty!

We had a great stay. The house was perfect for a group of 7 in 3 generations. The nearby seaside town of St Valery-en Caux was brilliant for the children.

Lovely house perfect for families in a good location for exploring.

We stayed for 1 week as part of a Normandy coast exploration holiday. The house is very close to the beaches and is well located for visiting other large towns and cities - Dieppe and Rouen are both under 1 hour driving time. The house is very spacious with 4 double bedrooms and a large sitting/dining area. Nice hot tub for relaxing in the evening. The garden is a good feature as it is very secure and the size of a football pitch! Perfect for our 2 children. Nice welcome when we arrived and would certainly book again if staying in the area.

Super stay in this nice and quiet house

Everything was as written in the advertisement. House is really for 8-10 people, and so is the availability of kitchen utensils, glasses etc. Spacious house, quiet area. One little thing: there was a problem with the Internet, but not inside the house, but with Orange FR. A cable or something. We found an OK solution for it though.

Loved the house, loved Houdetot

The house was a perfect spot to explore eastern Normandy, we drove up to Gris Nez to look at the Cliffs of Dover and, on the other side, the Town of Honfleur was amazing. Great restaurants in every direction and wonderful scenery, especially Veiulles les Roses and St Valery en Caux. The house could have used more instruction in English, we had trouble with the internet and turning on the heat to take the night's chill off. Maybe where to get firewood? But Jean-Marc and Catherine were great hosts, on the morning of the departure our car was dead, after a quick email they found a mechanic to come out and get us rolling within 30 minutes. Were we psyched, thanks again!

Schönes Haus wie abgebildet, netter Kontakt, einfacher Checkin, viel Platz, ruhig und großer Garten. Internet langsam und instabil - auch mobil. Insgesamt eigentlich sauber, Böden hätten sauberer sein können. Erste kleinere Alterserscheinungen (Stühle wackeln, Staub im Gebälk, Duschwände/-griffe nicht mehr top - solche Dinge), aber insgesamt guter Aufenthalt.

Wir hatten erholsame Tage in diesem Ferienhaus. Eine sehr freundliche Vermieterin. Für uns war es besonders wichtig, dass zwei der Schlafzimmer, ein Bad, Toilette und der großzügigen Wohn-Essbereich barrierefrei waren. Eine Unterstellmöglichkeit für unsere Fahrräder gab es auch.

Wonderful stay!

We have had a wonderful week in Houdetot. The property was fantastic with a large garden for our children to play in and lots of spacious bedrooms. The gite has all the necessary facilities and was an excellent base to explore the region. Catherine was a wonderful host and was a great help solving a small problem with the tv. We would definitely return!

Du charme et du calme

Charmante maison, bien équipée, idéale avec des enfants. Très bien située pour découvrir la côte d'Albâtre sans faire trop de kilomètres. Nous y avons fait de belles découvertes, Veulettes les roses, Varengeville, les jardins d'Etretat, le musée de la pêcherie à Fécamp, Dieppe et son château, l'historial Jeanne d'arc à Rouen et de jolis villages et châteaux. 4 super grandes chambres confortables, le linge prêté est nickel, la cuisine est tout équipée. Le jacuzzi est super, la terrasse mieux aménagée que sur les photos ! Même si il y a un canapé lit 2 places sur le palier, cette maison est sûrement plus confortable pour 8 (taille de la cuisine, du salon et de la table à manger). Grand jardin, grandes et jolies salles d’eau. Communication avec les propriétaires au top, ils sont très gentils et arrangeants.
