The grounds are spectacular, very private. The place is small but plenty big enough for 2 people. Highly recommend.

Weekend away

My husband and I wanted to get away- the cottages were quiet and relaxing. The hot tub was farther than expected and some things needed updating but overall was a great place to stay.

Great Destination

We had a great time, property was beautiful! Everything was great! Only reason we gave a 4 on cleanliness was the dust on ceiling fan and bathroom vent. We would definitely recommend and will come back!

Hello, and thank you for your reply.Sorry for my delay as we just arrived home after staying one night at the West Baden then the other night French Lick Resort clearly resorts understanding the customer experience and well worth the money. We can certainly agree to disagree on some of these points. However, I would like to offer a few additional observations.First, cleanliness and acceptable standards can be subjective. What one renter finds acceptable may not meet another renter's expectations.Second, if a groundskeeper regularly inspects the property, I believe the large spider webs, approximately four feet by four feet, located on the side of the unit and around the main entrance should have been noticed and addressed prior to our arrival. In addition, the walkway to the unit, which appears to be a hand-laid asphalt path, is uneven and would present challenges for anyone with mobility limitations. While the driveway is manageable with an AWD or four-wheel-drive vehicle, the incline and loose gravel can make access difficult. I believe this should be more clearly disclosed on your website so guests can make informed decisions.Regarding the chair, I again feel that routine inspections should have identified both the damaged chair and the hole associated with it. Those items appear to be maintenance issues that should have been addressed before guests arrived.Lastly, there was a noticeable musty odor inside the unit. This may explain why the air conditioning was set ver

Birthday weekend getaway

This property is absolutely beautiful! It was perfect for a short weekend getaway. There’s a few houses on the property but even with them all occupied it felt private. We walked around the property and cooled off in the pool, that was my favorite part. It’s very close to French Lick and there’s quite a few places to eat/drink in Paoli also. Bonus there’s a drive in theater about 20 mins in Mitchell, overall awesome stay!

Perfect getaway spot

Nice lil cabin in the perfect location. It was also clean with boho like decor. Hot tub and pool are about .5 miles from cabin down a lane. That was a bummer. However, the view and fire pit area made up for it! There was a closer hot tub but no decking or steps in and out. Communication with caretakers / owners was extrodinary!!!

Quiet Getaway

My husband and I were searching for a quiet spot to get away for the night. This was exactly what we needed. The property is beautiful and peaceful. We especially enjoyed walking through the woods, and watching the birds and wildlife from our deck. The cottage was clean and simple and provided everything we needed. We will definitely return.

Lovely location

It was just a little getaway to celebrate a birthday. The location/grounds are lovely with lots of opportunity to go exploring or to sit beside a fire. Close to town so dining was never an issue. The only suggestion I have is to improve upon the availability of hot water. It got slightly warmer than luke warm, but never hot. Still, enjoyable and would stay again.

Quiet relaxing atmosphere

Located on 100+ acres of well-maintained rolling fields and woods, the property is beautiful as it is peaceful. From the shaded deck of our small cottage, we could look down at the highway far below without hearing the sound of the traffic. Though we're too old to enjoy walking the hills, our "puppy" was in absolute heaven running around the property, chasing squirrels, while staying safely within earshot.

Wonderful, Peaceful Weekend!

We had such a nice time at the cottage. The views were stunning, especially at Sunset and sunrise. The pillows were a little flat and the pipes like to sing when the water is on, however that is miniscule compared to the beauty of the property. Lots of wildlife, the most Blue Jay's I have ever seen in one setting, chipmunks, and even a sweet horse that said bye as we were throwing our trash away. It was so peaceful and quiet, the perfect little getaway. We would definitely consider returning. Thank you!!

A lovely experience

We had a really nice time. Rental could have used a bureau dresser to put suitcases on and clothes in. View was spectacular from the top of the hill! 20 minute drive to the big hotels and casino in town. Mattress was very comfortable. Hostess was very accommodating, and it was clean and well-maintained. Only real gripe was the microwave should have been up on the counter, not behind the cabinet door down low. Beyond that, a really good time.

Maintenance

Our stay was nice. But the maintenance of the grounds could definitely use some upkeep. I’m sure was very nice at one time but has been let go and no maintenance has been done in quite awhile. Our rental could use some paint and all outdoor lights did not work nor solar light were non working.

Crap I couldn’t hear you

The cottage was much smaller than the picture showed. The refrigerator was tiny. The pool was not clean and when we arrived to swim, there was someone pressure washing the concrete. There was a bulldozer running clearing land off and it sounded like a construction site overall, it sucked, and I would never recommend anyone to stay there. We stayed there less than 24 hours

I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your stay at our cottage. We were cleaning the pool deck for the busy July 4 crowd we were expecting. This 110 acre property does require a bit of maintenance and we have to perform these tasks during certain weekday hours which may have been noticeable for your Monday reservation. Yes, we are excited for our new barn amenities and this did require some site work during normal weekday hours. You’d be glad to know that the work is complete and the dozer is gone. Again, I apologize that your stay did not meet your expectations.

Don't stay there!

We followed the ambiguous, poorly written directions to try to find the location for around 30 min. If there hadn't been a wedding starting we would not have found it. Members of the wedding party contacted the owner. We authorized our use of a "larger " cabin. Our bedroom was on the 2nd floor accessed by a pull down, scarry metal ladder like you would see for accessing an attic. I hit my head on the roof rafters. I am 5'11".

Perfect Getaway

Southern Indiana is beautiful. And this property shows off the beauty of the surrounding countryside at it's finest. The Cabin was small (we knew this) and it was perfect for 2 people and a dog. The bed was very comfortable, but I'm happy we brought our pillows. The ones provided were very thin. Plenty of sitting room and the deck overlooks were beautiful. The pool area was fantastic, although it was too cold to spend much time in the pool (I did dive off the board and it was exhilarating) but the hot tub was perfect! It would be lovely at night with the fireplace glowing behind it, although we didn't make it back out after dark. Tammy was available for questions and was very quick to respond. I highly recommend Blueberry Estates. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Stay!!

I booked this beautiful small getaway cottage over a year ago as I thought it would be the perfect place for me and my husband to observe the total solar eclipse. And I was was absolutely right!! The private wide open fields with gorgeous views set the perfect stage. Our cabin sat on top of the hill, was small, very clean and nicely furnished. It has a small bar area, with tiny sink, coffeemaker, mini fridge and microwave and utensils for eating. Bathroom was roomy and loved the nice hot shower with fantastic water pressure. The bed was super comfy but glad I brought our own pillows as the pillows provided were kinda thin. Happy we could bring our little dog who totally enjoyed the space outside. Although the pool was still closed, it looked nice and they have wonderful disc golf course! Wish I had known as I would have brought my discs and played. Our stay was exactly what I had hoped, very private, cozy, and relaxing. Highly recommend if in the area and need a great little getaway.

I’ll start with the property. It was a very well kept estate on the outside. It is a beautiful place as we drove up. We drove a motorcycle there because the picture showed a paved driveway. When we got there we had to leave the paved driveway and travel a gravel driveway up a steep driveway that several washed out areas. Ended up laying my bike down with my wife on it. When we got to the cottage it had cob webs, coffee splashes on the wall by the pot and a dirty hand towel in the bathroom. The pool that was pictured was 400 plus yards from the cottage down the gravel driveway. The hot tub that was on the hill was only half full of water. Basically we spent nearly 600 dollars for a dirty hotel room with a bad parking access. I hate leaving reviews like this but I hate spending hard earned money for relaxing weekends and being disappointed too. Renters beware.

Beautiful view. There were some pretty serious storms that moved through the area during our stay. The hosts were quick to fix storm damage to the driveway to ensure we were able to come and go after. The cabin was cozy.
