Absolutely beautiful cabin and beautiful location. We had a wonderful time there and really enjoyed the eggs! Would stay there again if we ever were in the area. Friendly hosts who give you space!

This cabin was perfect for my husband and I to have a peaceful getaway. We walked the trails, fished in the pond and relaxed/napped on the gorgeous porch swings while it rained. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. The bed was very comfortable. We will definitely be coming back.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful mountain property! The home was spotless, incredibly well-appointed, and had every amenity we could have needed. From the moment we arrived, it felt like everything had been thoughtfully prepared so we could simply relax and enjoy our time away.One of the highlights was the breathtaking night sky. The stargazing was absolutely immaculate and made for a truly memorable experience.We're especially grateful to our host, David, whose communication was excellent, responsive, and reliable throughout the entire process. His attention to detail made everything seamless.This was one of those rare places where we felt we didn't need to do a thing except enjoy ourselves. We can't wait to return!

This is a beautiful, clean and well appointed cabin. Our family was comfortable and we appreciated the availability of the host with our questions. We loved the hot tub and the clearly mapped and marked walking trails. Highly recommended!!

A Great Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin and location. It was the relaxing getaway we needed. Everyone had a great time from age 5 to 70, something for everyone.

We enjoyed our stay, the cabin was comfortable and beautiful in a great loction. Loved our stay.

Beautiful!.. enjoyed watching sunsets from the hot tub or relaxing in one if the many hammocks. A very comfortable cabin. We will definetely come back, hated to leave.

Beautiful area

We came to Virginia to visit our boys who attend boarding school. The host was very attentive and accommodating. Even left us fresh eggs and neat from his farm. We loved the hot tub and view!

relaxing stay

We were attending our daughter's college graduation and enjoyed the seclusion of the property from the crowds in nearby Lynchburg. I loved the wrap around porch with it's many swings. The outdoor space is truly amazing and the hot tub an added bonus. Our host was very communicative and the farm fresh eggs were greatly appreciated!

One of the best getaway rentals!

Arlene's Escape may be one of the best vacation homes I've had the pleasure of renting. Super clean, well-equipped, and comfortable, the pictures don't do justice to the comfort of the house or the beauty of its location. I came with two older family members, and we had so much fun relaxing, drinking wine (thank you, David!), and laughing around the table. Can't wait to go back!

Arlene’s Escape never fails to exceed our expectations. Everything was perfect and there is even a new area with a fire pit and awesome hanging chairs and swings. We will definitely return.

Escape at Arlene's

This was our second time at the property and we really love this cabin stay. David is an excellent host and kept us up to date with some goings on around the property. We look forward to visiting again and seeing what changes the future will hold.

Peaceful getaway

The cabin is secluded on 72 acres. We loved the hiking trails and fishing. We also enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. My favorite part of the cabin was the porch that wrapped around the whole cabin and had swings and hammocks. Great place to watch the sunset.
