Lake cottage on beautiful Merrymeeting Lake with private decks and beach. Merrymeeting Lake is rated the cleanest lake in New Hampshire. Deck off of the kitchen is perfect for grilling, relaxing, and dining. The Lake View Room is the spot to kick back with a book, enjoy a cocktail, dine or play cards and board games. Rental comes with access to canoes, kayaks, life jackets, paddles, and plenty of floaties. Come enjoy the fall foliage and bring your fishing gear! Centrally located, take a daytrip to the ocean, up to the White Mountains, or to the quaint town of Wolfeboro. Shallow draft boats welcome.

60th birthday get together

The cottage is nestled at the bottom of a steep hill hidden in the trees. We loved it! The place was clean and beds we’re comfortable. It is a perfect getaway.

Beautiful Cozy Cottage

This cottage is lovely. It is right on the lake and has a dock that allows for lounging in the sun or shade, and there are floats and kayaks! The cottage is spacious and comfortable with a lot of natural light. This is an older cottage and does not have the most up to date amenities, but it has everything you will need for a great lake vacation. We would definitely stay here again!

Rejuvenation and relaxation!

This is the best place EVER for relaxing, which we really needed. We sipped our coffee on the dock in the lounge chairs next to the lake. We read for hours on the comfy screen porch, and we rejuvenated through water activities: kayaking, swimming, and also walking. It was a bit of an adjustment to use bottled water, but well worth the effort. This is a feel-good place that has obviously hosted much family fun over the years.

Slope Dwellers Cottage

Great relaxing cottage! The pictures and description don't do It justice. The cottage was clean and neat. The beds were very comfortable and the linens crisp and fresh. The kitchen had everything we needed to make great family meals. The sun room was perfect for family games, meals or just reading. And then there's the lake... Merrymeeting Lake is one of the cleanest - warm enough to be comfortable but refreshing to swim. The views are spectacular. Even on a holiday weekend there wasn't a lot of boat traffic. We heard loons every evening. The host provided a canoe and two kayaks that are in great shape. She also provided detailed information and was very quick to respond to our questions. The tap water is not drinkable but she provided more than an ample supply of bottled water. The driveway is steep (thus Slope Dwellers) but manageable and there is ample parking. Overall an outstanding property with a cozy family feel and we would definitely stay there again.
