INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.


E-Checks are accepted for advance reservations at no additional charge (15 days prior to check in). All credit card payments will incur a 3.5% convenience fee.

Wonderful Beach Getaway

Wonderful location right on the beach. We had a small hiccup but reach out to property manager and the issue was resolved quickly. Close to lots of restaurants and close to the Harbor Walk. We truly enjoyed our getaway!

Great Destin vacation

Loved the location and the rental; however, the bath tub does not drain and the air conditioner turning on about gave me a heart attack every time it did because it sounded like a cannon going off. Otherwise, we loved the location, the staff were friendly and helpful.

August 2021- Unit 1208

We enjoyed our Destin getaway at Sandestin 1208. It was also nice having a washer and dryer during our stay so I didn’t have to bring home all the dirty clothes.

Very beautiful location with excellent beach front view.

Condo was nice, we had a good visit. Only complaint is that it is small. It would be better for 2 adults and 2 kids. Very crowded with 3 adults and sleeping is not comfortable on the bunk beds they Need new mattresses. Bedroom bed was very comfortable though.

Very Different

Property was as shown in the pictures but pictures are deceiving. To much goddess not any room in bedroom have to turn sideways to enter bathroom from bedroom. TV in living room was only streaming and signed under someone prior to us who had been watching some not so great things. Room floor turned our feet black while trying to unpack. Found cigarette butt behind bathroom door looked like it had been there a year or more. I have stayed at Sundestin for over 15 years with a prior owner who sold his properties and never had any issues. Will not be booking thru Vrbo agian.

Small room and very loud

Condo was very small. Washer and dryer are horrible in unit. Could not dry but 1 towel at a time. Bedroom is tiny. No room to put your items. Hot water was horrible. Could only shower one person with hot water then had to wait 30 minutes to get hot water again. Ac unit is in bedroom and is very loud, so if your a soft sleeper its no good. Toilet break twice while we were there and we had to fix it ourselfs.

Don't trust the listing or the property manger

You can't ruin the beach which is spectacular in Destin however, there are tons of places to stay on this same beach! We specifically selected this unit over others in the building because it had a washer & dryer in the unit however upon trying to use it the dryer didn't work - no heating element. We contacted the rental management company and they said they would send maintenance within 24 hours. Maintenance didn't show up in 24 hours and when they did they weren't able to fix it. Communications received back from the property manager was the unit owner knows it doesn't work is trying to get it fixed under warranty and you can just use the pay machines around the corner. No sorry this happened, no we can offer you a credit for the inconvenience just - too bad. I asked for some accommodation but received no response. Add to the false advertising that the bedroom is extremely small with not a single drawer or dresser to store clothes - just 1 small closet. The only possible clothes storage was in the living room by the deck and still quite small - can't imagine 4 people staying in this unit without clothes and suitcases everywhere. Kitchen is stocked with extremely cheap accessories, broken wine opener, cheap dishes and silverware. Overall left a bad taste to have such poor service once they had our money & no longer cared.

Great Stay!

We really like Destin and this condo was in a great central location, close to everything. Golf, shopping, restaurants, etc... all very close with many choices. The condo was clean and well stocked with a beautiful beach and awesome balcony overlooking the gulf of Mexico.

The room was very compact, I would not advise for 6 adults to stay they. It was 2 adults and 4 kids
