The Carriage House is a stand-alone guest house/cottage in the back left corner in the backyard of our home in the 1500 block of Virginia St, in the historic East End of Charleston, WV. It’s a few blocks from the state capitol and a block from the Kanawha Riverfront. The 2-story cottage offers one King sized bed and one bathroom (walk in tile shower) located on the second floor. This property sleeps 2 adults. The first level is the living area and kitchenette. Flatscreen smart TV to connct to your own streaming services (no cable). Small sofa and coffee table, Kitchenette with nearly full size fridge, microwave, mini range/oven, stainless steel pull-down faucet with double sided sink, granite CT's. Stocked with coffee maker, cook/dish/glass ware, knife block, utensils, etc. Efficiency washer/dryer on first level. NEST thermostat. The bedroom and bathroom are located on the second floor up a winding staircase. Please consider this for mobility issues. The space is best for adults, not the best setup for those with small kids.
There is a privacy fence around the entire backyard with gate access to get to the carriage house on the lefthand side of the property. Small patio with outdoor chairs and small tables. We keep the property stocked with fresh linens/towels/washcloths, TP, paper towels, and basic kitchen and bath supplies. Relax in the Carriage House for your visit to Charleston, WV!

You will enter the Carriage House via a keypad lock. The gate to get to the backyard is not locked; enter by pushing in on the gate lock and push the gate open.
Other things to note:
-Things wind down early, so please keep reasonabe quiet hours
-Our entire property is a non-smoking space . If you are in need of smoking or vaping of any kind during your stay, take a stroll down the street and enjoy the historic turn of the century homes.
-We have small kids. You will hear/see them on occasion.
-No gatherings allowed
-You are welcome to use one of the three trash bins or blue recycling bin. For trash, you must only put actual trash bags as the city will not accept anything else. Recycling may be placed loose.
