This place is great! So clean and comfortable! The bed is amazingly comfortable. The hosts are great and have thought of everything you might need! Very convenient to restaurants and sites of Charleston. As the host says, the stairs to the upstairs bedroom and bath are narrow and make a 180 degree turn, but we are in our 70’s and had no issue with them. This property is very pet friendly - they even provided doggie food and water bowls. This is a fantastic property for visiting Charleston!
Nice, quiet, and safe place for my husband and me to stay while exploring Charleston and the surrounding area. Plenty of parking, a comfy bed, and a warm, good pressured shower made our stay enjoyable.
The Carriage House was cute, compact, clean and had everything needed for our short 4 night trip. Host was super responsive, caring and very accommodating. The small house was easy to access and we really loved it. I would stay again in a heartbeat.
Manage your expectations! This is an old carriage house on site with the host. They do have children so you are going to walk past wagons or bikes. Did it impact my stay? No! Yes, the microwave is on top the fridge. Did that bother me? No. Yes, there aren’t that many channels because it’s a smart Tv with literally every app. I found the love seat to be fine. Bed is very comfortable and shower is nice. We brought our dog and he was comfortable. This is the East End of Charleston and you are across the street from senior public housing and a bus stop, so you do occasionally see people roaming about. Did I feel safe? Absolutely. I love being able to see the Capitol and walk along the Kanawha River. I love the proximity to the interstate, downtown, and food. The host was extremely friendly and responsive. I would definitely stay here again!
The host was responsive and friendly. Street parking was easy. Peaceful neighborhood with sidewalks make it very walkable and enjoyable. Overall, accommodations are nice for a short stay and met our needs. Two points on cleanliness is that the microwave glass plate had not been cleaned. The tinfoil under each of the stove burners also needed to be changed. Otherwise we found the home to be clean.
Very quiet and quaint accommodations. Stayed for 28 days to visit with family in the area. Host was excellent, friendly, and easy to contact if anything was needed. The mattress on the bed was perfect and allowed us to get a good nights sleep after a long day of caring for aging parents. Would definitely stay here again!
Spent three days at this wonderful location. Easy access to to downtown Charleston. Very comfortable. Great temperature control, the bed was super comfortable. The guests were very nice. We will definitely stay here again when in Charleston.
Highly recommended if staying in the area. Very easy access to capitol, downtown, and highways. Comfortable and quiet. Owners have provided all that’s needed. Easy access and good street parking.
Perfect spot for weekend of USA Cycling Road National Championship
Whether you are racing or spectating at the annual cycling race (will be held in Charleston for the next 5 years), this spot is great for any duo wanting proximity to the race venue and downtown Charleston restaurants. Street parking was easy.
