Rise with the Tide

Good times & tan lines! Walking distance to the beach, food, coffee & ice cream! Great family beach cottage!! Really enjoyed our stay!! Only downside... train can be noisy

Lovely Home in the Perfect Spot

Absolutely perfect little house. Close to the beach and to town everything was in walking distance and being able to park in the driveway was a massive plus. There were extra chairs,boogey boards, beach towels, and plenty of blankets. There were games for the kiddos and for the family. The spa was perfect for the nights after walking around town and the beach all day. We can't wait to come back

We had a wonderful stay in the house. It is so nice to have a kitchen to feed your whole family while traveling. My daughter left her teddy bear that means the world to her and the owner mailed the bear next day. Im so thnkful it arrived safely.

Beach house

The house was very close to the beach, easy walk in flip flops. Manager was very fast to respond to questions. Hot tub in backyard was nice, as well as the ceiling fans in each room. Wished it had a cleaner feel, we washed the sheets and the kitchen before we felt comfortable. The fenced back yard is right next to a train station, made sleeping a little more cumbersome.

Older Beach House

The house was older and had some issues including an electrical problem and no heater other than space heaters which blew a circuit when used In conjunction with kitchen appliances or more than one space heater on the same circuit. But the jacuzzi was great and we used the fireplace (brought our own duraflame logs). Close to beach a block away. The owner was very helpful with the electrical problem and had an electrician there the next day who explained how we had to be careful with the overload on each circuit. All in all had a good time.

Loved it , it's all you need! I do wish it was mine to take care of. I'm sure owners don't want to put a ton of money in just for summer renters to ruin it. It's suitable, peaceful, clean, all you need, 3 blocks from eating, shopping 1 block from beach. I saw in a previous feedback a concern about the train?????? It's behind a brick wall? No rumble and you rarely hear brakes squeak. Loved it would definitely want to come back. Comfortable beds, get worn out at the beach take a nap and go right back out. Hop on the train see a Padres game!

Comfortable and great location

The property is dated and needs to be updated and cleaned well both inside and out. It is a short walk to the beach, pier, transportation center (local and travel busses, local commuter, Amtrak, and general area trains), restaurants, movie theater and bike shops. The maintenance man who was working on backyard improvements was extremely friendly and very helpful in suggesting the best time and routes to travel the interstate to downtown San Diego. We followed his advice. Overall we had a good time and a good stay.

Probably no repeat business

Literally next to the train station. Was what you would expect for a very old beach house. Looks like the owner didn't waste a dime on maintenance. Front and back yards were a mess. Lots of junk outside in in the closets. No screen doors so ceiling fans didn't cool much. Hot tub and spare dog cage were not mentioned in listing. Internet was unsecured. Shower fawcets were a puzzle/joke. Not clean at all for a very large fee.

Family Beach Vacation.

Oceanside has a lot going on in the summer. This place is walking distance to the beach, pier, restaurants, movie theater, breweries etc. etc. Parking was no problem, you could park 3 vehicles in the driveway. You are near the train tracks, but we weren't bothered. We had a great time.

Location, location, location!

The best part of this property is the close location to the beach (5 min walk), downtown Oceanside (10 min walk), and the Oceanside pier (15 min walk). This house has a driveway that can easily accommodate two cars so no need to worry about parking as this area is popular for beach goers and surfers. Another think we really liked is that we could bring our dogs and this house not only had a fully enclosed back yard but a very useful doggie door. It was also stocked with lots of useful items like kitchen stuff and beach towels. Lastly the communication with the host Louise was outstanding, she answered our questions very quickly. I would recommend this house if staying in the Oceanside area.

Quaint little beach house PERFECT LOCATION

Just what we expected and more! This house was stocked with more accessories and handy items than I've ever seen in a VRBO! From beach towels and chairs to boogie boards, all new!! The jacuzzi was super clean and already heated when we arrived. Beds were very comfortable & plenty of hot water...and lots of extras like good shampoo and bathroom spray. *Read all the reviews, don't know what you're talking about. No noise issues, couldn't even hear the train...yet saw it go by...pretty cool! Great amount of parking for the 'next to the beach' location that it was. The kitchen was fully stocked and the BBQ new and easy to use! Front porch was pleasant, TV was a nice one with a great sound bar...but best of all... I'd give the host 10 stars if I could! She was simply amazing!!! Responded immediately to all our little needs and questions (like where the BBQ tools?). We left an item, host so willing to send it and responded right away! I've stayed in literally a hundred of these all over the world and I wish Louise was ALWAYS our host! Have had some bad ones but this host and house was a winner. *If you're looking for The Ritz, then stay at the Ritz! Leave this one to those who can appreciate a sweet old beach house with a killer location at a great price! Thanks so much for the awesome stay!!! We will return for sure 👍🏼

Charming little find

Love how close this place is to the beach. Easy short walk to anything you need. Space was very accommodating to a group of 6 ladies. While there is some noise from the metro nearby it wasn't disruptive. Great front porch to enjoy your morning coffee or late night slice of pizza. Loved the spa in the back yard! Very convenient to have a driveway for parking. Easily would have fit two vehicles (maybe 3). Wish we could have spent more time there. Would definitely stay again.
